Any highlights or info on him?

Shifty and can jump -- but maybe not the guy you want tackling the running back on the goal line?

Kick returner, might be a practice squad type player

Another highlight video

*I highly recommend you turn the sound off

Cornerback Eric Patterson (5-9 1/4, 197) ran the 40 in 4.5 and 4.53 seconds. He had a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-2 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.38 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.01 seconds. He performed 18 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Patterson had a good pro day workout, which might have earned him priority free-agent status following the conclusion of the2015 NFL Draft.

But, the biggest missing piece on the defensive side will undoubtedly be cornerback Eric Patterson, who had 49 tackles to go along with three picks and a sack in nine games last season. Patterson also had 590 kick return yards, and the year before last, Patterson played in 12 of Ball State's 13 games and had 63 tackles. http://www.hustlebelt.com/mac-football/2015/3/7/8135217/way-too-early-2015-bsu

Cleveland Browns showed some interest leading up to the draft.

Lustig worked with Patterson as a kick returner, and there he excelled, averaging 25.7 yards per return and earning all-conference honors. He did the same at cornerback, making 49 tackles and three interceptions in nine games before suffering a season-ending injury. http://www.thestarpress.com/story/s...wards-nfl-draft-ball-state-football/26812755/

Season ending injury was a broken right arm. Probably why he was not drafted. He had 18 reps of 225 lbs in the bench press during his pro day workout, so it looks like there is no lasting problems with it.

I watched a few highlights. I call him a thumper. He tackles with authority. When he hits someone they go backwards. Didn't see much highlights in defending the pass. Interceptions seem the badly thrown ball variety. Don't know why but he kind of reminds me of Alfonzo Dennard. Similar height, weight, speed.
