Troy Vincent's decree came from Steven A Smith

Have you been listening to Felger and Mazz? They have been doing this crap for months. Since the AFCC BB was guilty. And when the report came out and said he had nothing to do with t, it did not matter. He knew, had something to do with it and the NFL simply "let him of easy" Their exact words. Cant wait to see their ratings drop.
It's unbelievable how bizarrely hyper Felger in particular has gotten over this. He and the little puke Mazz have bashed and convicted the Patriots thoroughly. Any fan of Boston-area sports who would regularly listen to these guys trash our teams is a glutton for punishment. They've taken contrarian shtick to an obscene level. Dale/Holley/Thornton on 'EEI is worlds better.

I find them amusing... in the way a bug crawling on the patio is amusing... especially when the cat eats it.

I have not watched ESPN since the Super Bowl. Never will again.

Felger wants a New York media gig and he can't get one.

In addition to all that, they were scared that their little scheme would backfire and JimmyG would look good and we'd trade him for a #1 so they throw that little "screw you Patriots" clause in that if we trade for a #1 we give up the highest one we have.

They are horrible people, I detest them with all my heart. You are a small, worthless piece of crap, Troy Vincent and Roger Goodell.

Exactly. Even if you support the league hammering the Pats and Brady, there are 2 aspects of the discipline letters that come across as vindictive, grandstanding, and taunting. The first is this provision - which I cant say I remember any other team ever having a provision like that tied to a loss of a draft pick. The second is in the letter to Brady, when it says "Each player, no matter how accomplished and otherwise respected, has an obligation to comply with the rules." Why was this necessary? Did he ever indicate he wanted special treatment? Oh, I get it, you want the public to know you arent giving him special treatment. Right, so your discipline is predicated on sentiment of the mob you created because you let a false leek go uncorrected.

Way to go, NFL

Of course he can't, they don't do his juvenile BS style in New York. Are you just assuming he wants to land there or did you hear/read it somewhere? I'd certainly like to see him leave this market.

PLEASE STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO THESE PEOPLE. They are only as meaningful as you make them.

pay attention to tony romo:

Tony Romo had a pretty clear NFL insider view saying: "I also feel like we're really going to another level because it's this team [the Patriots] that has been so successful and they're trying to just bring 'em down."

NFLN has been worse than ESPN. And that's saying something.

the only issue i have is that he DID put the tack on the chair. brady didn't do ****.
I, personally, am convinced that the science completely explains it all, but that the meatheads involved were simply ignorant, petty, and vindictive.

I just found the clip to be a great illustration of someone truly believing something in the absence of proof, and trying to convince others through assertion. From that clip, you don't know how the tack got there. In the Patriots case, I'd argue that there wasn't even a tack there!

Cannot stand the blowhard ......... only watch games on ESPN ... no shows.

I never minded Felger's contrarian shtick too much but he has been baaad with the whole deflate gate topic. It really seems important to him and I daresay he invested so much in the "Patriots are guilty" narrative back in January that he is unwilling to turn back no matter what. The stuff with Belichick is proof of it. Felger wants it to be on Bill because that's the narrative he's been following for months.

He doesn't like the Pats, probably doesn't like Tom Brady but Belichick...he's primarily Felgy's target.

I've concluded you can't be a Pats fan and watch them, same as with Borges, Tanguay, etc. -- it's like banging your head against a wall, or repeatedly slamming a car door on your fingers. Only masochists need apply.

Its his schtick. Nothing else. He dropped his guard for a second while everyone was waiting for the Tsarnev death penatly verdict, and admitted if you look past some of the excuses the Pats made in the Wells report context, they make compelling cases if the Pats really want to take this further.

I agree though F&M definitely go to over board at times with their act, but i can tolerate it. I cant with ESPN. Those guys trully hate this football team.

I turned on WEEI three times this week, and I ended up turning it off quickly each time Tanguay spoke. He's as annoying as anyone can be.
