This was aired the day the Wells Report came out.
Go in about 8 minutes... Steven A says 4 games for Brady, a 1st rounder, and nothing for Belichick. And he references how close he is to Troy. Talk about being convicted by the media. Wow.

The next time I watch ESPN will be when they scramble, spin and cry to digest another Pat's SB win. I would tune in to only revel in their anguish.I would prefer that Patsfans didn't link anything to the garbage rag that is ESPN. They don't deserve our viewership.
This shows me yet another lie coming from Park Avenue. Supposedly once the Wells Report cam out Vincent was going over the report, having discussions with Goodell, and did not come to a decision until the day the punishment was made public. Obviously that was not the case; the punishment had already been decided regardless of what was or was not in the Wells report.
It also suggests (as another poster said a few days ago), that the NFL purposely waited until after the draft to announce the punishment. The reason for this is that a first round pick in the 2015 draft by the Pats has the least possible value (i.e., the 32nd pick). A first round pick in 2016 after a season in which the team's starting quarterback is not available for 25% is most likely going to be appreciably earlier than that.
I find it difficult to believe the timing is all a coincidence - and that's without even considering all the other topics that have been brought up and discussed already on this matter.

Now we know the 1st round pick was for racism.
Have you been listening to Felger and Mazz? They have been doing this crap for months. Since the AFCC BB was guilty. And when the report came out and said he had nothing to do with t, it did not matter. He knew, had something to do with it and the NFL simply "let him of easy" Their exact words. Cant wait to see their ratings drop.
I don't buy it but it's an interesting coincidence.

Ted Wells argument.
Another interesting coincidence was John Clayton on ESPN being the first person who I heard mention the possibility that the Pats would lose a 1st round pick for Spygate.
So which came first, the leak from the front office or the bug being planted in their ear by ESPN?

In addition to all that, they were scared that their little scheme would backfire and JimmyG would look good and we'd trade him for a #1 so they throw that little "screw you Patriots" clause in that if we trade for a #1 we give up the highest one we have.It also suggests (as another poster said a few days ago), that the NFL purposely waited until after the draft to announce the punishment.
