Freeman: Goodell will Hear Brady's Appeal

LOLZ. Following the Strongman/Dictator handbook.

Who will play the role of Baghdad Bob?

It has to be Vicent. He does not strike me as someone who is intelligent. Just something about his face.

Guessing he will cut to two but Brady still going to court

Better watch out! If Goodell gets shot tomorrow and Wells is on the case, he'll find it's `more probable than not` that Chiuba E. Obele was responsible!

WHY DID HE POST THAT GIF IF HE'S SO INNOCENT, HUH?

Lol why is the commish the one who hears the appeals? That defeats the purpose of the appeal.

Honestly, I think this is great. Goodell either backs this all down with a reversal, or Kraft has Goodell on record personally ruling against Brady with **** evidence, and it'll be saturday night in Sioux City.

Either way, it's time to buy stock in Orville Redenbacher's parent company.

I knew he wouldn't dish this off. It's too important to him.

Stubborn mule. He can't see the forest from the trees.

Breer confirms.

Speculation from Albert on Comcast is that Goodell may offer Brady a deal and reduce to 2 games for not cooperating and drop the cheating charge. Bet that will taste reeeeeeeeeeeeal good after Tom has been smeared from coast to coast over the past week and going forward for being a cheater.

Hope Tom does not take any deal....make it all or nothing Tom.

Sometimes you just can't help but be amazed at the sheer stupidity other humans display.

You have a 40 mil a year job and you're throwing it away trying to be a billy big bollocks? Who gives Goodell financial advice? Mark Brunell?

Goodell's logic is the same as Yee's. Yee didn't want to set a precedent of turning over NFLPA members' private phones. Goodell doesn't want to set the precedent of having an independent arbitrator - it will cause him to lose one of the powers he cherishes the most.

Can we just skip this part and head right to court, i want the entire league office nuked.
No. They must go through the appeals process first. Even if they did "head right to court," you can check back in about 90 days for any updates.
Not like it wasn't expected. Probably the main reason why he had Vincent hand out the punishments.
Exactly the reason why he pretended to hand it off to Vincent, since he wouldn't have been able to hear the appeal if he came down with the punishment. Either way, Goodell will have his paws in the investigation, the punishment, and now the appeals process. And I do not expect a reduction in Brady's suspension via this particular avenue.

Tough option. I wanna fight big time but if they drop any cheat charge and stick to it, maybe can go with a non cooperation deal.

Still, we should fight.

This could really backfire on Goodell. The truly unbiased national media will start to believe the Patriots were right that this is all a dog and pony show to get the Pats and rehab Goodell's ego.

One thing for sure this is going to court. No way Goodell overturns his underling's ruling.
