I don't understand why most of the media in this area (boston, providence) goes out of they're way to trash the patriots, its the exact opposite of what it should be. Almost all of them felger, bogus, chb, tanguay, donaldson, ryan, etc, work the contrarian angle. When i think about it the majority of these people sound like they're sports reporters for the opposing teams, always trying to denigrate the pats, when they should be doing all they can to support the team. We know why some work this line. BB blew off bogus, TCB hates the fact that the pats are more popular than his Red Sux. But the rest ? you can only have so many contrarians, posing the opposite view only works if theres an opposite view to oppose. Going back to donaldson, i remember listening to him in the ninties, he was pro patriots, now it seems like the rest its all negative.

Because anger is addictive...Felger's ratings are probably through the roof as so many people scramble to call in and school him on why he's an idiot.

You keep listening and they'll keep playing the game - because that's all any of this is to them, a game that pays them well.

To a man they'd disagree vehemently that it's their job to support the team. Even the good ones feel that way. The trouble comes when they have an agenda and try to pretend they don't.

Considering their performance via John Tomase in 2007, they've got a lot of ground to make up.

Speaking of which he needs to shut his fast oily pimple faced liver lipped pie hole. He was banmed for life from ever talking about the Patriots and should have had both hands cut off so he could never write another word about them.

Picked up my morning paper(Providence Journal) and as I do everyday read it while eating..

There is all of its antiquated glory is one of the living fossils of journalism of bygone days, Jim Donaldson lamenting why doesn't Brady talk... ruined my Breakfast.. guess that Brady should disregard the advice of counsel and appease this butthole, he wants answers and wants them now..

It's time for Brady to provide answers on Deflategate

Brady did provide answers to Framegate shortly before the Super Bowl but everyone called him a liar. What good would it do for him to get up and repeat his story? Next time should be in front of the arbitrator or a judge.

That's right--and honestly, their job shouldn't be "to support the team." That's what fans do. The problem, as you allude to, is the fact that so many of these Boston hacks take positions against what the fans think because they believe (mistakenly) that gives them credibility. For example, Shaughnessy's constant "fanboy" references...to him, objectively observing that the Wells' report is a comically biased document makes you a blind yahoo.

They're morons. I live in New York now. To those of you in Boston, why the hell do you listen to someone like Felger? It drives me absolutely insane when you guys blast the latest thing Felger said. All I can think is, "why did you hear him say it?"

This isn't a case of the Herald finally stepping up. Jeff Howe was kicking the hell out of the NFL about deflategate until he had a family situation arise.

It's not the job of media to support anything except their employer. It's also not the job of media to act like ass hats because they don't understand what "objective" means, or because they're butt hurt over some perceived slight, real or imaginary.

I didn't mean that i thought they should be carrying pom poms and sound like fan boys and girls, to me thats just as bad. But with the majority of the boston media has this negativity towards the team when they should be more neutral, and just report it as it is.

Yeah, now that I think of it, that's another incredibly annoying thing, call it the Squeaky and the Douche Syndrome. The idea that fans of a team are supposed to adopt their supposed objectivity. Apparently calling people fans of a team isn't insulting enough, they're 'fanboys' and that automatically means anything they say is worthless.

Or orgasm again...

Don't get excited. They will be back to writing crap tomorrow.

The Boston media (at least the majority) does view the teams negatively. But, what most of them despise far more than the teams are their fans.

Some of then the CHB for example definitely think that they are above the un-washed masses. Hey CHB We pay your freight.
