You really want Robert Kraft coming at you in court, outraged and determined to uncover everything in the closets of other owners who are more than likely behind Goodell's initial push in this case?

You thought dealing with Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson for two months of the 2014 season was bad. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Ted Wells served you very well last year in the Richie Incognito case. But he and his staff failed you here. And the Patriots are about to unleash a torrent of lawyers that will make the Al Davis vs. NFL case of the 1980s look like fighting a parking ticket.

I will tell you this, the moment a national writer of some gravitas writes something similar and says it on FSPN, IMHO that will officially mark the turning point for this fiasco. I am not saying it will happen, however, first step is local guys saying it. Step two is someone nationally reading it and agreeing.

The only sticking point is face. How does Emperor Goody backtrack? That will be the one area that could see this thing drag on and on. Emperor Goody probably will choke on his Chateau Le Fit Rothschild before he will take one inch step backward. Sadly this means Brady will have to make an outside authority proclaim it. However, maybe an outside authority stating how bad Emperor Goody and this process was is more ultimately satisfying.

This would make too much sense to happen. Goodell will be too stupid and/or prideful to offer such a conciliatory move until it is way too late. Once this hits the Courts, all bets are off. Goodell and Wells will be publicly embarrassed by the crack legal team that Brady and Kraft have assembled for their respective cases, and shortly thereafter Goodell will be forced to resign. Good riddance.

I reject the idea that Wells served the NFL well with the Martin report.

Has he done anything for the NFL besides these 2? He's batting pretty low for the NFL if that's all he's done for them.

Exactly regarding Wells job. . A this point the NFL giving up and taking a check dosent impress me. Then the narrative will be that the Patriots cheated again and got away with it.

I want to see the NFL and all its lackeys come out and admit they tried to set up the pats in a sting operation. The facts are all there, now we just need the admissions.

I believe that an independent inquiry must be made against certain NFL personnel in particular Roger Goodell to improper conduct and integrity during this investigation.

I believe Wells defended the league in the concussion cases

Goodell backtracks. Hes gone.

Goodell loses in arb. He's gone.

Stick it out. hope the results go your way. Stay in job for another few months. Go to court. lose. Still an extra 10-15 mill in the bank.
retire. wonder why no-one likes you.

the mind of Roger.

Ultimately even if they don't win I'll just be happy if they fight. The website was a good first step but I'd like to see more.

And I guarantee you that you will

Since Brady's appeal will hinge on NFL's bias supported by Blandino's lie (any many other things), but chiefly Blandino, I would think he could demand a neutral arbitrator.

Agree. He got away with it on Incognito because no one wanted to stand up for Incognito. Sorry, Wells but your lucrative gig is up.

By Goody backtracking he will have looked like an idiot for rushing to judgement. Him saying, "after further review.." makes him look like he and his office did a biased, 1/2 ass job (which they did).

That train left the station the minute Troy Vincent started licking envelopes and mailing letters.
