Patriots Legal Counsel Rebuttal of Wells Report

People don't believe the "deflater" explanation. That's their right of course. I also don't believe lawyers made that up either. Someone gave them that explanation.

What Breer really means is that "it is important to remember that one can not believe anything the Patriots say in their defense because... they are the Patriots."

He and Volin have axes to grind and they are doing it.

Florio (amazingly), Peter King and Adam Schefter have been far more unbiased. And I'm not just saying that because I am a biased Pats fan. I'm not using holding Petraglia, Curran, etc. up on the other side because they too have already made up their minds.

At this point, I'm x-ing out the Volins/Breers/Doyels along with the Petraglia's/Currans, etc. because of the biases and I watch Florio/King/Schefter.

He is.

We haven't heard ANY of this rebuttal from "leaks". The rebuttal is most familiar because it is all common ****ing sense that wasn't used in the Wells' report.

And now that common sense is being linked to reality. So of course you recognize all of, because you'd be a god damn fool not to.

That idiot was in 98.5 today and called it monkey business. when some one brought up Rodgers topic, he kept insisting that its nothing

I didn't get to that part yet when I posted it. I just assumed the fact they inflate and deflate the balls was the reason.

Breer works for the NFL, and he's never been 'warm' about the Patriots. His perspective is not surprising. His lack of understanding the meanings of "confidential" and "leaks" is intentional and is bad 'reporting'.

Those people with Twitter accounts should feel free to explain that to him.

This is the stuff the Kraft team has decided to address. IMHO, they must be holding some impressive trump cards, which can/will be played as necessary. Popcorn, indeed.

I think that the deflator explanation is more probably than not generally true.

I would normally agree but I think b/c its the Patriots, "cheating", agendas and dropping ~$5m on the Wells Report the league will stand their ground.

I also think the NFLPA is using this as an opportunity to drive their agenda as well.

Little more complicated this time around..

Breer is in full NFL PR mode. He is going to win Employee of the Month at the NFL Network.

Darin Gannt of PFT definitely has an ax to grind.

I honestly do believe the deflator as a weight loss thing is so unbelievaby stupid it could conceivably be true.

I like how Breer is focusing on the minor points or the less of the convincing points, but not tweets about the double standards of gauges being used, or Blandino's lie. Those two points alone (as we've known for a while here on the forums) are going to shut this whole report down.
