More times than not I would see a big pass play from the opposing team and Arrington was the player who got beat. It was annoying.
 
Not to mention it allows you to punish a quarterback even when he does get the pass off.. those hits add up over the course of a game and can start to make that clock in their head go a little faster, which leads to more mistakes.

And also the chance of knocking a QB out of the game

Exactly, not to mention a great front 7 can stop the run which will put our opponents in more 3rd and long situations. When they're 3rd and long that's when you release the hounds.
