Patriots Legal Counsel Rebuttal of Wells Report

Do you buy this?

Whether or not I buy it, not many people are -- and the rebuttal is already being widely mocked and dismissed because of this one thing.

To the extent this rebuttal is supposed to serve as a PR counterattack it was really, really stupid of them to put that claim in.

LAWYER: "Our intention is to provide additional context for balance and consideration."

translation:

"Our intention is to take the biggest armour-piercing missile we can find and blow your whole vehicle out of the water"

:)

This battle is going to be easier than I thought.

Ted. Wells has is going to explode, I just hope it happens on national TV.

No more eating sh.t for the Patriots. 8 years too late but I'll take it.
Watch the movie "Scanners" for a preview of what that looks like.

Hardy just found that November text. We'll see if they can figure it out.

A fascinating, in sort of an aggrieved tone, summary of the evidence.

In the end, there is very little factual evidence for or against tampering.
There is a ton of circumstantial evidence requiring interpretation.

I think, if you hate the Patriots, you will discount this and accept the league's interpretation.
If you like the Patriots, you will discount the league's interpretation and accept the Patriots.

If this gets to a court, I would assume it will be hard to side with the league's interpretation of 'more probable than not.' If this goes no further than Goodell, I would assume it will be hard to convince him to consider anything other than the Wells interpretation.

I do now know the generally-considered-average time it takes a largish man to relieve himself, wash his hands, and return to work. On this, the decision turns.

Ugh, of course, Volin mocks the Pats side. Anyway to get him off the pats beat writers twitter feed?

The media is mocking the "jacket/weight" angle.

We have hit the jackpot. THIS IS BETTER THAN ALL THE GOLD AT FORT KNOX!!!

Bertrand already trashing it. I could curious about responses. I'll give up on any media considering this.

felger lite

volin's playing both sides.

so mcnally was known as the " deflator " because he wanted to lose weight? can this circus just end already. that sounds outrageous!:D

Completely disagree...the "deflator" text is probably the biggest thing Wells had...couldn't be ignored.

About 1/4 of the way through it now........ Holy shyt........ This is devistating to the NFL's case. I think they could lose their anti-trust status based on the "obvious" sting nature of this whole affair. If Goodell is LUCKY, all that will happen is that he will be fired.

Awesome stuff, Mr. Kraft.

As they all mocked the science related to psi

It'll be the one thing to cherry pick, ignoring the Nov text. And that's all critics will focus on.

seems like deflator explanation not going well

but the nobel prize winner explanation will be overlooked
