Finally a prominent Boston/New England media outlet comes forward and defends the Pats!!

I know im a day late on this, but I haven't seen this posted anywhere on the site, but the Boston Herald front page of yesterday's paper was in clear pro Patriots mode. After the trashing this teams been getting nationally and even locally its about time a big time local media outlet steps forward and defends our football team!

Considering their performance via John Tomase in 2007, they've got a lot of ground to make up.

They def do. And they still have Borges, but this is a good start.

Tired of hearing Indy hick smucks like Kravitz and Gregg Doyel, who I hate with a passion, just go off on this team. Bout time some local guys defends them.

Not sure if people recall but Kravitz was a columnist for the IndyStar for many years. It was my opinion that back then, he was fairly levelheaded. I actually enjoyed reading his stuff. He offered a mature perspective from behind enemy lines and was fairly critical of PM and the Colts. Ever since he left the paper and became a sports radio guy he turned into a bitter, vindictive, closed minded a-hole. Even during the Spygate stuff he wasn't THIS BAD. Sad.

Doyel is an idiot. He has no cred. Probably got picked on too much in high school.

Picked up my morning paper(Providence Journal) and as I do everyday read it while eating..

There is all of its antiquated glory is one of the living fossils of journalism of bygone days, Jim Donaldson lamenting why doesn't Brady talk... ruined my Breakfast.. guess that Brady should disregard the advice of counsel and appease this butthole, he wants answers and wants them now..

It's time for Brady to provide answers on Deflategate

Donaldson is awful. I don't even bother reading his stuff. Hes on my "blocked" list.

No, it's not. When you are represented by counsel, the first thing they tell you is "don't say a word". It can only hurt and not help you. Let the attorney do the talking either in words or by deeds with court filings........

I agree, but as always media appeals to the lowest common denominator or the masses.. some will like this, my big hope is that I am not standing in line somewhere and they talk about what "Donaldson Says".. I am having a hard time keeping my mouth shut about this..

He is a tool that should be farmed out to Jurassic Island..

I don't understand why most of the media in this area (boston, providence) goes out of they're way to trash the patriots, its the exact opposite of what it should be. Almost all of them felger, bogus, chb, tanguay, donaldson, ryan, etc, work the contrarian angle. When i think about it the majority of these people sound like they're sports reporters for the opposing teams, always trying to denigrate the pats, when they should be doing all they can to support the team. We know why some work this line. BB blew off bogus, TCB hates the fact that the pats are more popular than his Red Sux. But the rest ? you can only have so many contrarians, posing the opposite view only works if theres an opposite view to oppose. Going back to donaldson, i remember listening to him in the ninties, he was pro patriots, now it seems like the rest its all negative.

I'm looking at this in economic terms, for this to work you I you would need close to as many protagonists for the contrarians to work off of to get the most return. When i tune into CSN all i see tanguay, bogous, shannessy, felger who are ALL contrarians sitting there. So you know its going to be a pats hate fest, i don't bother listening to a word of it, cause i know i'm not going to get an objective view point. I highly doubt its this way in NY, Indy, SD etc.

It has gotten to the point that I won't even turn on CSN. They are actually making fun of fans for supporting the Patriots. I was flipping channels last night and saw Tomase's face. Stayed long enough to hear him and other bash the fans and turned the channel. I do not get all the hate either-Those teams make you relevant in the first place.

They make fun of fans, most of whom have the ambition to actually discover some/all of the facts, rather than just go on rumor. I still think almost 60% of people think 11 balls were 2 psi under, 38% think they were 1-1.5 psi under, and only 2% of people realize that even if you give the Wells report their biased science the amount the balls were off was only .35 psi! These 2% being the so called fanboys.
