Tom Brady will sue.
Tom not only will appeal his suspension but will go to court and sue the NFL for defamation. Tom's reputation has been dragged through the mud coast to coast. He has a decent (better than most) shot at victory in the courtroom....which will be a badly needed game changing nightmare for the corrupt cartel known as the NFL.

Robert Kraft will not sue.
Robert will not go to war against the league he had helped to build into this billion dollar monster.
Nor should he.
What Robert will do is tell Roger Goodell, a man for whom Robert has thrown more than one career saving life preserver, that he is dead to him.
The man whose career has been saved, whose integrity has been vouched for numerous times by Robert Kraft just took Robert's head and held it under the water and drowned him in order to save himself.
Meet Roger Goodell.

Heard someone on the radio today (might have been Bedard who was on with 'the sisters') say that folks in the NFL office think Kraft will move on from this just like he did with SpyGate.

What fools if they think this is SpyGate all over again.

Nope!! Not even close.

Kraft will not sue the NFL.

Kraft will NEVER work with Goodell again.....ever!

Won't see the results of that now. The owners will circle the wagons.

Wait two years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He needs to go full Al Davis and sue.

WTF is he going to do in the realm of "working to oust" him?

Maybe that would be a valid option if he wasn't on camera telling the entire world what a swell job Go-To-Hell was doing when Go-To-Hell was conspiring with Baltimore to cover up the Ray Rice wife KO.

Little late to turn around and say he's doing a bad job after we lost draft picks.

Kraft needs to go to war here. Not plot and scheme for years down the road, waiting for moments of weakness. In Roger's greatest moment of weakness, Kraft gave him the thumbs up

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I'm waiting for TWO FREAKING YEARS, then RK has to work with go-to-hell during that time.
That is in effect, moving on.

You make no sense here????

Kraft could of done the ethical thing and blasted Goodell's doors off when asked about him at the height of the Ray Rice fiasco.

Let that sink in.

That was when Goodell was in real danger of losing his position. The entire media was after him. Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, all the major newspapers. One major owner like Kraft blasting him down for conspiring with the Ravens to cover up the ordeal probably would of ended his tenure as Commish.

Instead Kraft defended him.

And now here we are, with #FrameGate

At the very least, he could have kept his stupid mouth shut. My jaw hit the ground when I heard he vouched for that scumbag.

The problem is that we see it as

Kraft = Michael
Goodell = Fredo

Others, however, might see it as

Goodell = Michael
Kraft = Tessio

I really hope Kraft won't hold back this time and there is no question about it, he absolutely must sue. That's the only way to get our picks back and to show everyone once again what a moron Goodell really is and how stupid his decisions look under an unbiased judge. I'm sure Kraft will eventually find a way to get rid of him but at the moment the most important thing is to fight this with every weapon we have at our disposal. I have no doubt Tom will do the same.

Kraft is not happy but the other 31 owners love Goodell right now. Kraft is own his own here.

I think I'm basing my future participation on the draft picks most of all.

I know Brady will fight and that his suspension will be reduced or abandoned completely.

But the draft picks go to the organization. If that penalty holds, I'm done. I've already cancelled my Direct TV Sunday package - if the loss of the #1 and #4 holds, then...I'm out.

Never go against the Kraft Family.

The NFL has not shown the balls were tampered with, though it seems likely that Brady took steps to ensure that balls were to his liking within the rules (thanks @drewfustin). The only steps that could begin to restore justice would be if the NFL conclusions were corrected and their punishments rescinded. All of them, including suspensions, draft picks, and fine. Then the corrupt structure that created this mess (and which Kraft helped create) must be dismantled, so Goodell has to go. You cannot put the genie back in the bottle, and the reputations of the Patriots and Brady still would be irreparably damaged. But if Kraft does not sue to overturn the nefarious punishment, then forfeiting draft picks--including a #1 pick who would never play for the Patriots (but would play for an opposing team)--tilts the playing field against his team for the rest of Brady's days and beyond. This result would certainly not be acceptable to this fan.

Interesting discussion on the radio this a.m. Jonathan did not want his father going on CBS and defending Goodell. Did not agree with it and thought it was a mistake.
And Jonathan, who is the future leader of this franchise will have NO PROBLEM going Al Davis on Roger Goodell and the NFL. While a general supporter of Goodell, Jonathan has NONE of the affection for Goodell that his father once "had".
The chill between the Commish and the Kraft's is now the new norm going forward.

I'm not sure why you would think ousting Goodell is mutually exclusive with suing the NFL. I honestly think Kraft is likely to pursue both endeavors.

If he doesn't sue, he has to give up those picks, so I think he will sue no matter what.

All the more reason to sue. Kraft helped build the league to what it is and would hate to see it ruined because of a Dbag like Goodell. The time to do it is now, not later.

How do you know this? I find it hard to believe that all 31 teams are against him right now. The same way you assume every other team is with Goodell is the same way I'll assume that there are a number of teams/owners that would love nothing more than to see Goodell canned.

If Kraft doesn't sue, he can appeal the punishment per recent reports by Schefter (I believe) and others. I think that's his likely course of action.

I'd also like him to support McNally and Jastremski if they decide to file suit against the league for defamation, find them competent council and pick up the tab.

As for Brady, go scorched earth, appeal and sue. Defamation of character is a high bar to clear for a public figure but if he really has nothing to hide then dragging this to court forces Goodell, Kensil, Blandino, Vincent and others to produce their own e-mails and texts. Where did the initial '2 psi under' leak come from? Why did no one correct it when the league had the correct numbers from day 1? Let's get more details around the pre-game e-mail, was Kensil texting with anyone about it? What about game day, when the Colts intercepted the ball, who decided to measure and why?

There's a lot of dots to connect here, and I think the NFL would look like fools if the real timeline and some behind-the-scenes details emerged. Brady's name will NEVER be cleared in the court of public opinion but this would go a long way to at least getting the real story out there, anyone who denies it can pound sand.
