Adam Schefter: Source Predicts Tom Brady’s Suspension Will Be Overturned

On this, we agree.
On this, I'm not so sure. Roger probably honestly thinks that the Patriots cheated, and that getting more evidence would prove it.

You do not think that the emails, cell phone records on this incident, who leaked the info to Kravitz et al, the inquisition of Tom, comments from Kensil, lack of documentation from Anderson etc. will all lead to a huge embarrassment for Roger???..

I do, if you notice even PFT is changing their tune on the whole process..

I thin finding "I can't believe Tom wants us to break the rules by taking air out of the footballs after the officials have checked them" would be more than enough to justify Goodell's actions. in his own mind.

Seriously, go read up on this guy. He really is a true believer and crusader.

Anyone with an objective mind would agree with you...but I feel like he is the teflon Commish. Nothing he does (regardless of how ridiculous) seems get him removed from his position. I wish we all had that kind of security.

He's like Bill Belichick (being able to make any moves he wants) but with a 20-100 record and no playoff appearances.

How can Brady's suspension be overturned if Goodell is judge, jury and executioner?

"You're overturning this suspension or we're going to federal court"

Vinny Iver of the Sporting News was on the Adam Jones show and said the way the punishment is set up, his take it will most likely be an all or nothing thing. Either he will get the suspension overturned or he will serve the 4 game suspension and nothing in between.

"You're overturning this suspension or we're going to federal court"

I'd love to see what texts regarding the Patriots are on his phone records. I'm sure the other 31 teams wouldn't though. It would be Armageddon for the NFL and he knows it.

Overturn only? Trump wants $250 million.

I'm not a big fan of Trump. But I agree with the basic point he made on ESPN yesterday. Go at them so hard they beg to settle before it even sees a courtroom. And I think with hiring Kessler, that's exactly what Brady is doing. But unlike the Trump strategy, he's not necessarily threatening a big monetary award. Kessler carries the threat of permanently changing the structure of the league if he wins. Much scarier to owners than a one time big pay out.

I know this is whole thing has never been about logic, but
if Brady's suspension is overturned, that means he is either innocent of all charges or the NFL has failed to make it's case or proof.
so logically
what is the justification for the loss of 2 draft picks and the $1million fine?
If Brady is innocent, or as I said no proof was shown, then logically the Patriots are innocent/the NFL has not proven they did anything wrong. So how does Goodell justify the punishment?

I am surprised that they did not claim that BB ordered the ball deflated and point to the fact that he drafted Jimmy G and anticipated a suspension.

Honestly, I think that if the balls were deflated it was due to the Brady saying that he liked a softer ball. Not that he necessarily told people to let air out but that it was known he prefers it softer.

I still don't understand why Aaron Rodgers admitted to trying to have the balls over inflated and hoping that the refs did not catch it, but nothing happened. Carolina and Minnesota were told to stop heating balls up on the sideline. This tells me that ball tampering is not as big a deal as the NFL claims. We were punished for winning.....allot.

The punishment involved 2 draft picks and saving $800K. It kind of makes me laugh that we were punished by saving money.

I think Kraft really thought he was helping goodell and accepting some blame for the camera thing for the good of the league

Now Goodell has played him for a total chump. I think people are underestimating Kraft. Despite inheriting a small company he has made himself into a powerful billionaire celebrity, owning most everything onone of the hottest sports properties in the world.

that doesn't happen because you take insults and injuries lying down. I think he, through Brady or the league or the courts is not going to stop until he takes Goodell down.

The NFL does not trump the laws of the United States

There's no way in hell Brady doesn't sit for at least one game. RG has too much damn pride to let that happen, he knows the **** storm that will ensue if part of the suspension doesn't hold. He deserves not to miss any time just can't see it happening.

at least skip bayless is defending us!!:D
the patriot prophet, everything he says about the pats usually happens ha

Skip lost me when he said Tom should be suspended.
I don't know if he's changed his tune since, but that was an utterly stupid comment.

Because it's Rodgers, Carolina and Minnesota. This doesn't help God-ell assert himself as The Ultimate Dictator and Overlord of 345 Park Place

Unlike the draft picks that may not be up to Goodell. An arbitrator or court could decide that. The draft picks are trickier.

If the Patriots employees deflated the balls, but Brady had nothing to do with it, Brady would be innocent and the team would be guilty.

I agree, I can't stand Trump but he is right on the money on this. Enough is enough, the league office went way to far on camera gate and if v that wasn't enough invoked it again as a radon to give outrageous sanctions to the Patriots on this BS. Brady and Last need to make clear they aren't looking for b reductions they are going nuclear and have the money and guns to do serious damage.

F.ck the league, go for it.
