Ravens get Arrington

Wow, 3 years...curious to see what they are paying him. They certainly need help in the secondary, hopefully they use him on the outside :)

I hope BB has a good plan for CB. Never going to doubt or criticize BB's decisions again after he just won us our 4th.

In BB We Trust!

Well, hopefully Edelman/Amendola tear him apart in practice.

Not a fan of the Ravens getting a quality slot CB.

Lol I came in to say the same thing... I hope they line him up on the outside and watch him get roasted...

Man, I'd love to know our plan at corner.

Edelman vs Arrington? HA

Not sure why they cut him since the cap savings were minimal. He was an above average slot guy even if a liability outside. And then to see him signed by one of the NFL's most consistent talent evaluators just kind of confirms that he's not hot trash. Weird move by BB.

My nickname for him is "So close yet so far" He is always in position but just can't make plays. Ravens fans are saying he led the league in Ints just 3 or 4 years ago.
He can cover but can't make the play to defend the ball.

How many times are the Ravens going to play the the Colts since apparently Hilton is the only receiver he can cover.

I'm just hoping that Belichick has a master plan for the secondary that we are yet to be aware of and not the early stages of senility. You know like forgetting you actual need CB's in a secondary.:)

OTOH, that contract they gave Flacco proves they aren't always right. :)

They do have Jimmy Smith and Webb who can cover on the outside.

Really hope BB has something up his cut off sleeves. The secondary is not going to get it done against Denver or Indy as it stands right now. I'm going to trust that we have a plan, don't think we would release a pair of CB's if there wasn't a method to the madness.

Let's hope we have a monster front seven this year.

There was an earlier forum thread based on a Reiss article where the DB's were rated taking into effect targets, passes defended, interceptions. I thought that Revis was no 1, Arrington was no 2 and Browner was no 3.

Arrington was a very effective slot DB. I think Belichick was very unhappy with having to bench Arrington in the SB and was looking for an upgrade at that position but I don't get why he was released yet.

They don't need to.

Until Indy can prove they can beat the Pats they don't get the benefit of the doubt and Manning is shot

Front seven makes a huge difference in the secondary.
That being said I think the kid from Marshall and Daxton Swanson are players. One of those 2 will make the team. The Jean kid I'd like to see on the field to learn more.
