Interestingly enough, Mike Freeman, one of the worst writers of all time, states how this is similar to the same denial A Rod fans, Lance Armstrong fans, and Barry Bonds fans had after they were caught, saying that it's complete denial that we are in.

So what's the thoughts on this? Think we're in denial here?

The big, BIG difference is that in our case TB12 is not lying. But the Press can not accept that because many of them have cheated all their lives and just believe all others do the same. They look upon a man of true character as a liar who is simply a good actor.
Not saying TB12 is perfect but by golly i do believe he is neither a liar or a cheat.
This battle will take a while but i am very hopeful that TB12 and his legal team will clear his name and get his suspension lifted.
Then will come the long drawn out libel suit which hopefully will absolve him and put the blame upon those who actually with malice attempted to destroy him because they could not accept his greatness and his humbleness.

I was actually thinking about this today and came to this conclusion: This is sports. Its entertainment and should be treated as such. You don't need to be a paragon of objectivity. If I were truly objective I would say that all of this is a waste of my time, and any one devoting their time to reporting on it basically adds little to nothing to our society.

The big difference is that A-Rod, Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong were all proven to have cheated by way of science. In Brady's case, science should have exonerated him but the incompetency of the NFL, much like religion, is too much even for science to overcome.

That's just plain stupid, but it leads to more clicks from Pats haters.

Even assuming Brady's guilty, which I don't believe, there's a difference between running through a stop sign and committing murder. It's like Brady had ran through a stop sign, but he is being charged for murder.
As it was the case with Spygate, the penalties are way out of proportion, and it leads some morons to believe that what Brady must have done is much worse than what he is being accused of.

Most people have accepted the Wells Report as the complete truth with no possibility for other information. Because Wells drew his assumption that a text from May meant balls were tampered with the following January, Brady must have known and be guilty. We all know the facts of this and can debate FrameGate with people with them. I look forward to doing so.

We know the large majority of fans and NFL teams want NE to be guilty so it clouds their judgement. It's tough being at the top for so long. Even tougher when everyone is trying to tear you down.

They said our biggest denial is that we ignore the deflator nickname.

It's like defending:
  • Galileo from Pope Paul V
  • Too Many to Name from The Court of Oyer & Terminer
  • Dalai Lama from the Chinese
  • Solzhenitsyn from the Soviets
  • Richard Jewell from the FBI
  • Alfred Dreyfus from French Military Intelligence
  • Joan of Arc from Bishop Cauchon
  • Jesus from the Romans

Hmmm.... let's see:

Jastremski: Brady did nothing wrong.

McNally: Brady did nothing wrong.

Every interviewee in the entire Wells report: No evidence that Brady did anything wrong.

Wells (aka, Brady's hired rectal prober): More likely than not he might have had general knowledge, possibly, it could, since he wouldn't give me all of his personal information.

Facts: Very likely there was no tampering, and if there was, combined with the gas laws, tampering would have to be so minimal it would be pointless.

The Media (such as Silver)/the NFL: IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT BRADY IS 100% GUILTY!!! Hey, just look at the facts (then runs away).

So, yes, I am pretty comfortable believing there is not enough evidence yet to prove Brady's guilt. The other cases referenced with Armstrong, A-Rod, etc. had actual witnesses and/or definitive scientific tests to support the findings, and neither had a commissioned $5M anal probe on their targets, though the anal prober (Wells) could find nothing except some confusing text messages. If anything, there is more evidence pointing to Brady's evidence.

I'm noticing the different players supporting Brady and those supporting the punishment.

My theory is that the more jealous and insecure of their legacy, the more likely they are to support the punishment.

Thus we get Don Shula and John Elway supporting the punishment.

Colin Kaepernick, Breff Favre, Vince Wilfork, and John Vilma are among those supporting Brady.

Ryan Mallet refused to take the bait and said he is the QB of the Texans.

I Think there is more evidence TB did not cheat than did. There is also clear cut evidence that Blandino lied, results were inconclusive, and the NFL did nothing when the Mort Report came out,

If anything the NFL cheated.

So unfortunate that some people can't understand nuance. I don't SUPPORT Brady. I am not going to the rooftops to proclaim his innocence.

I believe Brady is entitled to a fair fact-finding exercise, and I believe the Patriots were also entitled that that BEFORE justice was meted out.

If Brady is found to have done something sketchy, I'd be disappointed in him. It would not make me think any better of the NFL and the way they have handled this with their false leaks and biased reports. In other words, I don't care what the end result is; I just want to see a fair process.

I feel like I am personally entitled to it after basically having a "hero" as an adult and father. I mean, isn't that what the NFL wanted me to do? Let Tom Brady be my hero? Then don't sh*t all over him with a kangaroo court and a lower burden of guilt than a Joseph Stalin prosecution.

The equivalent is defending Dr. Richard Kimball.

No we are not. It's those who love the witch hunt who are willfully in denial and uncompromising to logic.

I support TB just on the Mort Report. If the NFL was truly about what it says it is than that thing would have been shot down like a SCUD. Now you have Blandino caught in a lie about the sting factor.

Right there, the whole issue is dead to me. Forget all the other crap. This was an NFL trying to appease 31 teams and a commissioner trying to save his job by doing something nefarious. He caught caught and Wells couldn't save him

Now its a big mess and I dont care what all the whiny fans think. Anyone who couldn't put this together on their own and come to the conclusion that this was a smear campaign isn't worth my time - which is probably most NFL blue collar idiot fans anyway.

I will enjoy my team in silence knowing that every win will just continue to kill people slowly.

Until someone from the media throws out a defending Hitler comment, it's pretty tame.

All of those guys are proven to have cheated. **** off Mike Freeman, until you have some of that nonexistent proof that Brady cheated.

Well put. In fairness, science exonerates Brady only under a particular set of assumptions. Under another set of assumptions (the ones adopted by the "independent" investigator), it does not. We don't know the truth, but like you said, that distinguishes this case from the others. Freeman is a hack.

Before DNA testing became prevalent, hundreds if not thousands of defendants were wrongly convicted and subsequently executed for crimes they didn't commit. At the time, those defendants were thought to be "guilty" in the same way Herr Freeman lumps Tom Brady in with A-Rod, Armstrong and others; guilty through generalization (sports figure, accused of cheating, must be guilty).
