What bothers you the most about all this?

That thought crossed my mind as well. The NFL will do anything for attention. Especially during the down cycles.

Need to have a tight circle. For example, BB, Kensil and Vincent wouldn't be part of it. Maybe Jonathan. Needs to be tightly orchestrated.

In the end, I just can't see Bob and Goody collaborating to the point of destroying Brady and Kraft agreeing to the sanctions.

If this scenario ever came to light as truth the Kraft name would be Mudd. I don't think would want that.

you know what, I would not put it past ANYONE who is a part of this to be involved in some kind of wag the dog........the lines get drawn and as long as the Pats fan base gets becomes even more rabid (and we are), it is fine to have the rest of the country to hate us (and they do)

now as far as affecting 2015 goes, the only thing that matters is the Brady suspension........can we dispense with the formalities now and admit that it won't actually be 4 games? I'm betting that it will be 1 game tops

as for the other things....how much do they really mean? $1M to Kraft? Now the draft pick stings a bit, but it would not be beyond some voice of reason that a conversation is had somewhere to say "this would look really good, and you guys will not suffer too much.....you're getting a boatload of comp picks anyway"

watch, this is probably some kind of precursor to getting NFL blessing for Kraft to build an attached casino or something

It's the whole hypocrisy of the thing. Going after the Patriots to prove your tough on "morality" and "fairness" when you need to clean up your own house. The idea that whenever anyone reaches for something better than status quo, small minded men have to reach and hold and twist you by the legs to drag you back down again. It reeks of petty team jealousies and a league office that's more concerned with publicity than doing what's right.

This bothers me in a general sense, but it's an interesting perspective that will never be looked at.

This issue is like a mirror in alot of ways. it will show you more about yourself than it will about someone else. Hence we'll be called homers and that's right to a certain degree. But, they'll find people that agree with them and say they are being rational. Even more rational because everyone agrees.

They won't examine their own motives or even question the authenticity of the sources. They accept everything that aligns with their perspective because that's what they want to believe. None of us really know TB and we get to see a slice of his life. While we still perceive the greatness in him, others can take that same information and call him arrogant.

There aren't many that can give a balanced perspective or craft information in a way that causes people to think. Thus, this is what bothers me. People have lost the ability to think for themselves and want to be given information. The truth is irrelevant. Mass mentality is perceived as right (and you don't have to look to far back in history to find atrocities committed when people "go with the flow").

That in order to believe the Wells Report, you have to agree with the idea that Tom Brady instructed Jastremski to have 3 of his 12 footballs deflated by a barely perceptable .4 psi.

Possible. Personally I think the versions between what the Wells Report was and what we saw AFTER the NFL & Goody red-lined it are drastically different.

Hell, I don't think he misses a game. No way the NFL keeps him out of Opening Night. No. Way. In. Hell.

Accurate. They always pick in the bottom 9/10ths of the draft anyway

Hell, one is going into Brockton. The last freaking place one should be.

Your theory is very plausible and it would not surprise me if revealed to be true....I need some time to process it.

What bothers me is the criminal activity running under the NFL.

Pick one? Arg. Never an issue in league history. Process was corrupt. Pre-determined, bought and paid for conclusion.

I'll go with the leak to Mortensen. Florio is covering this.

Think of how different the narrative would have been if, in the early days of the scandal, the prevailing information from one of the largest sports-media outlets in America had been not that 10 of the 12 balls were two pounds under the minimum but that all 12 balls (including the one that had been intercepted by Jackson) tested within the range consistent with the application of the Ideal Gas Law...

Also, think of how different the narrative would have been if, in the early days of the scandal, the league had acknowledged that the officials used two different gauges with dramatically different readings generated...

For now, though, it’s clear that this investigation proceeded aggressively despite a history of less-than-zealous attention to air pressure, an apparent lack of immediate understanding regarding the Ideal Gas Law, and a non-accidental attempt to make the tampering seem more obvious than the facts suggest it was. And that makes it hard not to wonder what other flaws may be lurking within the 243-page report and the underlying evidence on which it was based.

You know what bothers me the most? The children. What the **** are we going to tell the F***ing children?

Seriously, this pissed me off the day the whole thing was blown up by the media and it pissed me off when the ridiculous punishment was dolled out but really, after a few days, all I can think about is the utter destruction of Pittsburgh come September and how good THAT'S going to feel, regardless of who is at QB.

I blame social media for this sh*tstorm. Thankfully, I limit my exposure.

Roger Goodell

One other thing that bothers me about this?:

It has pushed the Jets Suck thread off of the main message board first page.

That's just not right.

They'll be back soon enough; can't keep that much suckage down for long.

I'll echo what others have said - I'm bothered by the lack of objectivity, no, the outright glee of 90% of the nation that the Pats and Brady are getting slapped down over something that's both trivial and completely unproven. After seeing this happen to New Orleans and now the Pats, you'd think fans of other high profile teams at least would have a little more wariness that 'Hey, we could be next!'.

I expect it from Jets fans, since we give them back the same treatment, and of course because the NFL doesn't care enough to investigate anything they might have done anyhow. Why worry?

Same thing that bothers me whenever I see a movie about Jesus

Legacy. Period end of story. The picks, suspension, money, that's all BS but it's just piling on, the team can recover from all of that.

Till the end of time Brady and Belichick will forever be cheaters in the minds of 31 fanbases and the vast majority of people around the country. This is cameraplacementgate all over again, they never fought that one or explained the absurdity of all of it and now the narrative is 'culture of cheating' because of it. Forever, whenever Brady and Belichick come up--whether it be their Hall of Fame inductions, biographies written about them, books about the Patriots incredible run starting in 2001, this bogus incident will be given major play.

It's cameraplacementgate all...over...again. Except this time there's no smoking gun. It's still very, very possible that NOTHING happened. And unless something major happens with any appeals/lawsuits their names will never be cleared of this incident.

It's not even close: legacies.

One thing among many is the absolute power that has been given to the nfl commissioner, he is the sole arbiter, the prosicuter, the judge, and the exacutioner. No thought was given to the idea that the person acting as the commissioner could arbitrarily make up his own rules as he sees fit as far as punishment go. Goodell seems to just do what he wants when he wants to and no one can over rule him. He commissions an investigation which finds the coach, the owner and the team in general innocent of participating in, or having any knowlage of any tampering, but still fines the owner 1 million dollars and two draft picks because they should have known, same with Sean Payton and the Saints. These owners need to get together and put limits on what the commish can be allowed to do without having to go to federal court to get relief.

One thing to consider, the Patriots often have a tough time and game against the Jets but now we see that the refs pump up the Patriots balls to 16 PSI when there is a game against the Jets. NFL conspiracy to help Jets?

what bothers me is how big this story has become.
nfl dedicated an entire day to tb12 yet barely mentioned more important/serious matters like the darren sharper serial rapist/hernandez trail/warren sapp's firing.yet an entire day was about air pressure in footballs with coverage all over the country.
more proof that the nfl is out to get brady and the pats.
