Brady has hired Jeffrey Kessler as per Schefter

I can't wait to watch this unfold.

Don Yee is just an agent with a law degree. He has no experience in labor law and before Federal Courts. You want people who are experienced in these types of matters. For example, you wouldn't hire a pediatrician to do heart surgery.

This is accurate. Yee is a well-respected attorney in his own right. Adjunct professor, lots of publications, highly ethical. Think of him as an expert pilot who flies around in Lear jets.

Kessell flies "hot spot" combat missions in a stealth fighter for fun and when he's done, you know hes been there and nothing is living.

I thought Don Yee was a lawyer as well (and a good one from what I've read around here). Why can't Brady just use Don Yee if he needs legal help outside of the NFLPA?

As someone else said he's not a specialist in sports labor law, whereas Kessler is the man in that arena. This is the league office's worst nightmare.

Lionel Hutz may have had his flaws, but he was still more competent than Goodell.
and he warranted a papah johns free pizza if you were found guilty, so its more probable than not he is better than peyton manning.

If this is true, IF this is true, wow! This is no longer a hard nosed fight, this is a giant BFD. Trotting out one of the country's premier sport's anti trust lawyers means our side just declared war.

Not in and of itself. Jeffrey Kessler is the NFLPA's go-to lawyer. He represented them in the lockout. He represents them in every high profile discipline appeal: Bountygate, Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson.

I like the hire of course, this is great. But people liked Peterson, they don't like Brady, I only worry about getting an impartial judge.

But it is almost that the comment from Kraft a few days ago about accepting punishment (not on Brady's behalf) was a setup, if so Kraft sucked the NFL right in. Regardless I have no doubt the NFL took Krafts words as factor in their actions.

Good luck roger

Schefter on Sportscenter just said he got a text from a source today: "Brady's (legal) team is unreal. My prediction..he won't miss a game"

Goodell's reaction to Kessler being Brady's attorney...

Kraft is pissed, Brady is wicked pissed, imagine how angry Giselle must be....hence Kessler?

I've invited Terrell Owens over to my place and we're going to get some popcorn cooking. anyone else want in on this?

Imagine what might happen if Kraft decides to go to war as well?

If Brady fights his suspension like being drafted in the 6th round then well................you know the rest. :D

but the box was empty

I don't know if this has been posted already but i heard zolack a couple of minutes ago on NFL radio. he said Brady is absolutely livid and is looking at a defamation law suit. He also said hes never seen Kraft so angry, and between the both of them the summer is going to be filled with lawsuits and counter lawsuits.

OH one other thing, the opener will be treated like a regular season game. No stages, no concert, no pregame interviews, no banner, no Nothin

I hope this is true.

Lets see Kessler rep'd the NFLPA when TB12 was one of the plantiffs suing the league.

Kessler rep'd BB when he sued the NYJ.

NFL comes down hard on NEP and TB12.

Not, IF Kraft will go to war, but WHEN?
