does anyone know exactly how many owner votes would be required to remove the commish out of cycle from his current term? Can you refer to right part of charter/rule book?

24 were needed to elect him in first place, so I would think that would be needed to fire him.

Followon question: If I had to guess, I would say w Johnson and the dolts ownership would for-sure vote to keep him/against us and Aints for sure would vote for firing him. But where would the rest fall?

Probably pointless speculation, because despite the recent resurgence of backbone in RK, I think he reverts to form after a week or two and keeps the peace. But I truly wish he would cone out and PUBLICLY-ACTIVELY CAMPAIGN for the ouster of the head Rat.

24 is the number needed to fire him. Though one may think that if you got to 16 or 17 he might decide to bail on his own.

He's on record that there is nothing in mind that he can imagine as a reason for him to step down. Something like that.

He ain't going no where short of being fired.

Snyder & Jones would probably be easily talked around if they don't already want him out.
Kroenke & Spanos could be convinced with some vote trading - vote out Goodell, you have our vote on a move to LA.
Pegula is Kraft's buddy and the new guy so might side with Kraft.

Outside of that, you might be struggling to get more support?

We'd need to get the heavyweight influential owners on board.

The Maras
The Rooneys
Jerry Jones
Jerry Richardson

Get 2 or 3 of them on board and Goodell is toast.

Agreed, for a man with his lack of talents, this is the highpoint for him. He will cling to this for as long as he can, I doubt even 23 owners against him could persuade him to seek employment elsewhere (because there is no employment elsewhere).

If you have Kraft, Snyder, Jones and Mara, you win. They have enough pull around the league that they can convince 20 other owners of pretty much anything.

Gotta think Jerry and Synder would side with Kraft. I still don't understand the cap space punishment. There was no exact standard for what they could do it was just a "don't spend too much" as I recall which is highly subjective.

My guess would be that Snyder, Jones and Benson could be easily convinced to come on board simple based on their own experiences with Goodell's overreach.

People like Snyder? I've read he's a huge prick. Maybe he's real business savy?

Bob just submitted a rule change to the Board of Governors.

Only need one owner to fire Der Kommissar.:)

The Redskins, Patriots, Cowboys and Giants are the four most valuable franchises in the NFL. Also, Snyder is a member of the broadcast, digital media, and business venture committees. Basically, if you get the four guys that I mentioned you have the four most valuable franchises on board, as well as basically the NFL broadcast committee.

I'm sure a parasite like Goodell would make an exceptional lobbyist in Washington.

Bisciotti would vote for goodell, that much we know from the ray rice incident.

Woody Johnson and if he's sober enough to turn up, Irsay would as well.

I'm not sure Kraft could get 23 other owners to side with him any time soon. But I could see him getting 8 which gives him enough to block Goodell's next contract after the 2018 season.

Once it is clear that Goodell will be a lame duck, other owners will come around I suspect. Too much money on the line to have a long term lame duck in charge. It may take a year or two though.

I think 31 other owners are gleeful at the way the Pats are getting screwed by Goody.
They're not voting against him over this.

it would be easier just to get one of the other 2 along with kraft to cut his pay to minimum wage

Sounds good. I'm going to a barbeque with all of them this weekend, I'll bring it up.

Nice idea but I don't think he would work for 9 million a year.
