Not sure how this has not gotten mainstream traction yet but surely will be a cornerstone of Pats case:

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/05/...iciating-vp-lied-about-deflategate-knowledge/

At a pre-Super Bowl press conference, Blandino tried to say that nobody from the league was aware of any issues with the footballs prior to the game.

“Then there was an issue that was brought up during the first half,” Blandino said on Jan. 29 in Phoenix. “A football came into question and then the decisions was made to test them at halftime and now.”

When hit with a follow-up question from the New York Post about allegations that the NFL conducted a “sting operation” in order to catch the Patriots red-handed, Blandino again flatly denied any prior knowledge to anything about football inflation levels.

“I don’t know where [the idea of a sting] came from,” Blandino told the Post. “This was a problem that came up in the first half.”

And yet in The Gospel According to Ted:

At this point, I understand that folks’ eyeballs might immediately gloss over with boredom upon seeing yet another excerpt from the Wells report. But this is important, as it relates to the email sent by Colts GM Ryan Grigson and Colts equipment manager Sean Sullivan. This message was sent to NFL senior VP of football operations David Gardi and director of football operations Mike Kensil.

Kensil forwarded Grigson’s email without comment to James Daniel, Director of Game Operations at he NFL, who in turn forwarded it to other Game Operations personnel who would be at the game as an ‘FYI.’ Kensil also forwarded Grigson’s email to Dean Blandino and Alberto Riveron, both senior members of the NFL Officiating Department, with the message ‘see below.’ Both Riveron and Blandino decided that they would raise the issue with Walt Anderson, who had been assigned as the referee for the game.

On Saturday, the day before the AFC Championship Game, “Blandino reminded Anderson to ensure that proper protocols concerning the footballs were followed.”

So this is a high ranking NFL official in CHARGE OF OFFICIATING who outright lied to the media about a sting. Not a good look. Oh this is also the saint who partied on the Cowboy bus (he almost looks as slimy and date rapey as Grigson).

Good luck with that one in court, boys.

Thank God Brady has stayed quiet the league and their stooges are self imploding

They can't help themselves. Hell. Remember that play in Carolina where Gronk got mugged? There's a video of Blandino in front of a TV describing HIS version of how the play went down as the game film is showing the exact opposite of what he was saying.

Literally. They cannot help themselves. This is what happens hire you hire a bunch of talentless mindnumb idiots.

A thousand LOL's @NFL

Has PFT or anyone national caught on to this ?
I've only seen the local Boston report but I'd imagine it'll hit Reiss soon and from there will get picked up nationally.

People are hammering TB12 for not being more forthright, giving up phones, etc but what people don't understand is that he has been trained by the leading expert in the universe for saying something without saying anything and yet the listeners still think that they heard something when the didn't.

I think that is called a Jedi Mind Trick. It's most effective on the weak-minded...like the media.:p

He was off lithium that day.

Another great tidbit for Brady's new team....!

Seriously. It's why you say "No Comment." Depending on how bad this goes in court for them, NFL might need a fall guy. Between this and the Cowboy bus bender, Blandino is looking the part.

Simultanous contact. What a joke. The ball was 15 feet away from Gronk when LK mugged him

Ticks me off. Brady took bullets for 45 minutes in January. Took more from NFL brownshirts in March.

To say he hasn't been cooperative is a f-ing joke. Was he forthright?....I'm sure he held back but nothing world-ending. Besides, with these ass clowns trying to bury him, I would too.

What's great is it opens up the question of the credibility of NFL management regrading whether they have been forthright about their intentions and I think you can start discovery process and subpoena Blandinos's phone, Grigson, Kensil, the whole crew.

So all the leaks will come out, all the private conversations with a Goodell. Brady will gladly trade his phone for that I'm sure. He wouldn't be going to court if there was anything damning on it.

So, Blandino lies to the media about the NFL's knowledge ahead of time, and then David Gardi - whose father was an assistant coach for the... wait for it... wait for it... New York Jets - lies to the Patriots about how much air was found in the footballs.

Nope, nothing to see here.

I know this isn't right to say, but I always think "man I want the head of officiating to look more like Ron Winter than this guy"

This case makes me want to un-retire from P.I. work. I'd love to take a shot at this investigation. I've had a few good retainers in my day (including an NFL team), but nothing like the Wells payday (What was the initial retainer?) with extended hourly fees. Wow! The results (and no "physical" surveillance, from what has been revealed)...? Are you kidding? Unbelievable!

And by the way...I've been on the winning side many a time by doing nothing more than showing up at the courtroom with a stack of videos and paperwork (usually blank tapes and notepads). Defs folded before even going to trial. The fact that Brady is going forward is pretty much all I need to know...

Blandino's lie undercuts the Wells report, because it undercuts the notion that there was not a sting involved, especially in conjunction with allowing the footballs to be played with before checking them at halftime.

First year law student....

There was a sting, of that I'm certain. I'd love to see Kraft, Brady or even an organized group of Pats fans hire a P.I. firm to investigate fully and then move on to investigate the actions of other teams. That would make my day! However, I sort of wonder if Pats fans have a question in the back of their minds that prohibits a private investigation?

Tough to condemn Wells as it is his job to slant to his employer (Heck, I've done that.). And then we get to

1st year law student, meet 25 year PI...(w/NFL team retainer)

It was a sting and impossible to believe that that fact is difficult to reveal...Something stinks here....
