What is the end result? does anybody think the punishment will be reduced? does anybody have confidence that kraft brady will take this to court? i dont. the best anybody can hope for is a 2 game suspension reduction. i welcome anybody with a realistic more optimistic view on this. talk me off the ledge.

Brady and the Pats are innocent. I won't accept any thing less than all 4 game suspensions removed, fine removed, and draft picks given back.

Goodell and Kensil being fired would be icing on the cake.

what about kraft? i want those god damn picks back and i want them back now. i dont think kraft has the balls. he will be under pressure from the owners to think about the big picture ect ect. i hope im wrong wrong wrong.

I predict pain. Which means there'll be out of court settlements and handshakes.

And that would suck.

I want goodells nuts in a bag.

I think bradys suspension will be thrown out. You cant suspend someone for not giving the nfl your cell phone.

The nfl doesnt have subpoena power. Basically it would set the precedent that the players have no rights and goodell can suspend players for anything

Up until now, I have just been using the movie the Gladiator as my field guide to this.

If Goodell proves to be madly in love with his own sister, I imagine we will eventually see Brady and Goodell battle to the death in the middle of Gillette stadium.

This should be the end for Goddell. Here is why. This looked like the perfect opportunity to get the Pats. He gave it his best effort and is going to come up short. It will end up being a gigantic black eye for the sport and hurt the league and owners. The owners that wanted to see the Pats go down in flames will be furious that Rog had them on the ropes but not only could he not put the Pats away but they came out looking like victims.

I think when this happens they will turn on him. With Kraft no longer supporting him he will be finished.

Ted Wells needs to release his personal cell phone so we can see what he, Goodell and Kensil discussed

If he doesn't it's proof he's hiding something (just like he asserts is the case for Brady)

Just like Brady, he has no right to privacy

If he won't cooperate it's proof he's guilty of bias

The 4 game suspension and 1st + 4th round draft picks better be reversed completely.

My gut is that Brady is safer than that 1st rounder. I hate hate hate losing that pick.

Brady has hired Kessler, so the NFL should be legitimately concerned...

Short term I expect Goodell to reduce Brady's suspension to 1 or 2 games. Does he accept that, or take the case to an independent arbiter and/or sue the NFL? I don't know, I'd like to say he'll go balls out but I'm not confident in him doing that.

Kraft...man, a lawsuit against the NFL would be huge, it'd reverberate for years, whatever the outcome. I think he'll accept the penalties against the Pats, support Brady (financially, perhaps, with his attorney fees?) and work back channels to discredit Goodell and get him ousted in the long-term.

From the average fans point of view I don't think the Pats/Brady will be exonerated, but I do think some of the damage will be undone and ultimately it'll result in Goodell being forced out.

At least I can dream :)

Brady's hiring of top flight anti-trust/sports lawyer Kessler suggests that he's going after the NFL. Kraft's use of the past tense when talking about accepting the NFL's punishment suggests that he too is preparing to fight the NFL on this issue. Who knows what's going to happen, but it's sure to be an interesting ride, and I'm looking forward to seeing it unfold.

End result is brady misses season opener, pats get back their fourth rounder and we all are still pissed.

I doubt much will change despite legal action taking place

The league has decided to make the Patriots an example of and as fans we just have to deal with it

For the league to drop all charges is laughable ..while we all want it to happen - its ZERO chance unless the league and Troy Vincent wants themselves to look like jackasses

I am more confident in this answer than I am in any other:

Tom Brady will not miss a down.

Brady will not stop until that happens, and the minute he sets foot in a real court, he will leave with at least the suspension overturned, if not Goodells house too.

With Jeff Kessler on board, the league has a lot more to lose than one disciplinary hearing.
This is over. Its only about the details now. Brady will not miss a down. If the league is stupid enough to push it they will end up in court, and the ruling won't just apply to Brady.

AYE, but it would be a small bag because his doesn't have much in the way of nuts. If he did he wouldn't let public opinion sway his decisions. Thats the way hes governed since he got the job.

I believe Arya Stark is preparing to serve the end result as we speak.

A man wonders, why is Roger Goodell and Mike Kensil walking the streets of New York City, when Roger Goodell and Mike Kensil cannot walk?
