Ted Wells' Train Wreck Press conference :D

Wells: The Patriots were all over me from Day 1 about why the NFL did not warn them about a complaint and alleging that there was a sting.

Wells: "I did not find that there was any kind of bias [against the Patriots]"

You mean other than your clearly biased report that even people who believe the Pats did it feel you were biased?

Wells said if he was on a jury he would've "checked the box that said, proven"

If he is talking a criminal trial, he completely full of crap. There is plenty of reasonable doubt in his report and that report didn't even present the Pats' side of the case.

Hopefully there's some sharp reporters on this call...he's "mad"? Freaking spare me.

Ted Wells: “Patriots provided me substantial cooperation except in 1 critical & crucial area – I wanted to do a 2nd interview with McNally.”

Well this is going to get interesting, Kraft says he did FOUR interviews and declined a 5th in PERSON with an offer to do a phone interview, declined by Wells.

Wells said he would have driven to NH to do interview, initial 3 interviews were by NFL, only one by Wells.

Not really any way to look at it. Every single opinion wells puts forth in the report is anti patriots.

Ref might have used 1 of two gauges "Well i choose the gauge that hurts the patriots"

Science says that the balls could be explained "well if this and this happened then this happened clearly it was cheating"

Why would he do this right now unless he has some other crap to show?

Do we care what he says? Listen, the report speaks for itself. There's enough in there to question his independence, I couldn't care less what his justifications are. The way he phrases certain things indicates clear bias. The way he footnotes pertinent information or outright buries it in appendices without reference in his conclusions or the body of the report.

I really don't care how he tries to spin it, the report says everything.

Well, it's either that he was influenced by the NFL or he is incompetent. Which is it?

I think the difference is that the first 3 interviews were done by NFL security, the fourth by Wells.

Bruce Allen retweeted Doug Kyed

But not by phone. That could recorded and a transcript made, right Ted?

Bruce Allen added,

Wells says he wanted to do a second interview with Jim McNally. Said he would go to NH in the morning, afternoon, night.

Guess Wells want to be a part of the story.

Sucks to have your work torn down by people with potential little to no understanding of the process. Get 5m from the NFL, maybe lose 40m in future business (then again, maybe you'll be even more popular asa hired gun to spin anything).

That second tweet is a pretty damning indication of bias in its own right. Thanks for giving the Patriots more ammo, Ted.
