Kensil to Pats official: "We weighed the balls. You are in big f---- trouble"

I can't navigate Sport Illustrated's website. I can't scroll down or read the article, just look at the top part of the article. Anyone else having this problem?

Yep. Don't worry. It's the Pats at it again. Cheating again by blocking the article. Sigh they never learn those cheaters. Sheriff Goodell and Deputy Wells will be on it asap. They just have to get some new toner. They used the last of it on the 243 page judicial work of art.

Charley Casserly stated that the NFL went easy on the Pats today... I couldn't believe it.

BB hates Casserly. He's even threw a few shots at him in the media last couple of years.

All the haters are just kicking us while we're down now. Hope they enjoy it. It won't last long.

The reason that this was not included in the report as the predetermined conclusion would not be substantiated, and might raise doubt in this kangaroo court....

Unbiased and fair are foreign concepts to the NFL "brainfart trust"....

Soon to follow the rest of the cast of characters... Warner, Faulk et al. aka the "red ass" parade.

The folks in the world who are more enamored with facebook likes or twitter followers than the truth..

So remember when any defamation lawsuit was somewhat struggling with solid evidence of the "malicious intent" part? Not anymore!

I think this statement says even more and is pretty much the crux of the problem. Ignorance of the issue to begin with. The NFL and execs lack of knowledge of understanding the issue to begin with. Him saying we "weighed" the football was him thinking that PSI actually meant pounds. Them not understanding the science from the beginning made them jump to many conclusions and started the whole ball rolling. As things progressed the goalposts kept moving and the target of punishment changed. The NFL wanted to get the Pats and as what they thought was going to catch them were being disproved they just made up different charges. They got so desperate to make what I believe was a penalty they wanted to impose all along, they had to go back to Spygate to chum the water to make it acceptable to the masses.

I wouldn't describe what lies ahead of us as Fun, exactly.

Depends...Brady's Irish.

“The great Gaels of Ireland are the men that God made mad,
For all their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad.”

G.K. Chesterton, The Ballad of the White Horse

Just logging on and seeing what Kensil said. My god. What a horse's butt.

Keep in mind though, it takes a head to wag a tail. Kensil probably couldn't get a job at Wal-Mart stocking shelves.

Have to remember he was the recipient of the brouhaha when BB decided to abdicate the Meadowlands Swamp Throne for the fair fields of Foxboro... Kensil is a second generation Jets Executive, having spent 28 years there..

Does anyone have a vague concept of an appearance of impropriety???

Side note. So some of this punishment is due to the Spygate episode according to the NFL's Ship of Fools? Note to Bob Kraft: You rolled over for Spygate for the better of the league. Hey, I understand. You thought it was better business for the team and everyone involved to just accept it and move on. But you F'd up for not considering the can of worms you opened.

And herein lies the problem with giving in to a bully. I stood up to my first bully when I was 4 years old, because of some inner moral indignation. The other kid was six and he kicked my ass and I went home crying. My parents said I did the right thing even though it was the wrong outcome. The instances of people trying to bully me were few and far between, because people thought I was nuts to fight for an ideal.

We need the Patriots to fight for the IDEAL of the NFL. They may lose and they may be drawn and quartered like William Wallace. But that is not the point. If you won't fight for science, due process, and the integrity of the league, then why be a party to it. Pack up and walk away. Everyone punished by this Stalinistic tribunal has FU money, except McNally and Jastremski.

Yep. I did a fairly lengthy write-up on the time Kensil was there with BB. Net-net basically he and BB did not get along while the two were there from 1997 to 1999. Since Kensil was responsible for admin and ops I can only imagine BB (who was Tuna's XO) and Keinsil's working relationship.

There was an article about how Parcells was cleaning house and a few of the holdovers from the previous regime resented Tuna's ways. The cited Kensil Sr (who was not in good health) and Jr having difficulty meshing with Tuna and "Tuna Jr."

I'll try to find it again. It's like 500 posts ago.

Confusingly, "actual malice" has nothing to do with actual malice. It is a legal term of the art that means the alleged defamer published something false that he either knew to be false or published it with a reckless disregard of whether or not it was false. You could be the evilest haterest hater in the world but if you didn't know it was false or you didn't recklessly disregard its truth value you haven't committed "actual malice".

If this blows up, Kensil will be in big f****ing trouble.

Hope springs eternal, but let me bust your bubble.

Kensil's not in trouble. Listen to Casserly and the others...they're orgasmic.

Eli Manning, who preps footballs more than any other, supported the punishment.

Michael Strahan on GMA yesterday said the Patriots were taping practices in Spygate.

There's no justice to be found here. The NFL did what it wanted to do. Brady might get his suspension cut or even thrown out, but the draft picks are gone, the million is gone, and this will now be beside Spygate on every message board forevermore.

They broke it, and it won't get fixed. If BB resigned over this, i would no longer be surprised. If Brady retired over this, I wouldn't be surprised. After what I've witnessed for the last few months over LESS THAN HALF A POUND OF PSI IN A PIGSKIN, nothing would surprise me.

Except actual justice in this matter - that would SHOCK me.

I sure hope the Patriots have MUCH more than this because while I agree it makes him look like an ass, I really don't see it as real evidence.

Probably should not go out in public too much currently.. just got back from Home Depot and had an incident.

Was standing in line behind a guy who thought it was fashionable not to comb his hair and wear mismatched "Crocs" he was pontificating(loudly) that he was an attorney who said the Pats got what they got because they lack "integrity". Listened for a while and then had to respond to this buttwipe.

I started with, "Do you know the recorded air pressure of the balls when they left the lockerroom".. response, no.

Question #2, "Did you know the ref was warned this might happen and he lost control of the balls, and did not bother to retest them?"... response, no.

Question #3, "Do you know who Goodell and Kensil worked for before they went to the NFL. Did you know that Kensil is a second generation Jets employee who worked for them for 28 years" ..response, no.

Then I told the guy to shut up and get his facts straight before he starts talking about integrity, he changed the subject and started talking about his health problems..

I am almost 68 years old, and can get away with this type of stuff.. do not suggest it for the young'uns, but have decided to stay away from crowds for the time being..

Kensal sounds like a huge douche.
Never been a fan of Strahan either
