The thing I don't get is that Brady is being suspended for failing to cooperate with the investigation yes?

However the Patriots, Kraft etc all cooperated with the investigation giving footage, phones and everything else up. The report exonerates everyone except Brady the the two equipment staff (well maybe, kind of, possibly) BUT it's the Patriots that are also getting wacked with punishments.

The whole thing is a stitch up and it stinks.

Beautiful, except in my ideal, dark twisted fantasy world Bob Kravitz and Ted Welles would also be among the men that APerp deflates.

Look if Adrian Peterson can beat his suspension, Brady and his crack team of lawyers can certainly beat the one the NFL just tried to impose based on a very WEAK SAUCE Well's Report which is internally inconsistent. In its own footnote, it admits that 3 out of 4 Colts Footballs were found to be UNDERINFLATED depending on the gauge used!

Really WEAK. A good legal team will tear that APART! Brady should miss ZERO football games if a truly competent and Neutral Arbiter handles the Appeal. And you can bet the NFLPA will be backing/demanding that 100%!!

Are you really this slow? Did you actually read the report? Of course you didn't read it. If you did, you'd know that the report and the decision was based upon "assumptions and information that isn't certain". It's right in the report...page 228.

"Everyone" didn't see this punishment coming. In fact, most of the reaction even outside of the WORLD CHAMPION NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS fan base is still one of shock.

You're a troll and from your statements it's obvious your team has probably been our ***** on a regular basis for a long time. Don't think that will change because it won't change even with the "commish" trying his best to even out the playing field by stealing our draft picks and taking out our top player.

Interesting to note that the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit recently ruled (last week) that bulk collection of telephone metadata by NSA was illegal according to federal law.

Yet now we have the NFL trying to set a precedent that any football player's private media (phone, etc.) should be turned over to them, otherwise it's "failure to cooperate" and tantamount to a willful attack on the "integrity of the game".

How does such a posture ensure the integrity of the game?? Would NSA be advised to simply tell the US population that they will continue to collect metadata and that "failure to cooperate" would infringe on the "integrity of their ability to conduct surveillance operations"?? At least they're fighting terrorists...and not playing a game!

BTW, does everyone realize that the metadata (that NSA seeks) represents a very small subset of the information...in total...that the NFL demands?? Doesn't this represent an intrusion of the highest proportion....potentially reminiscent of McCarthyism?? Isn't the NFL out of control?

Sadly, it doesn't matter. His "customers" are the entire NFL fanbase now. TV contracts etc. make the gate at Gillette, merchandise, etc look like a piggy bank. Plus, I'd wager my savings that Kraft knows neither the gate nor the merchandising is ultimately going to suffer.
