Kraft's response

"it was our intention to accept any discipline levied by the league." Bolded and italicized the only important part of the statement.
Bingo! karguy85 has BINGO!

My guess is he was expecting a fine for Brady and possibly a suspension. He's most likely shocked just like the rest of us at the clear over-punishment.

This statement might not be huge but it is better than anything I expected.

Statement from Robert Kraft
Statement from Robert Kraft: “Despite our conviction that there was no tampering with footballs, it was our intention to accept any discipline levied by the league. Today’s punishment, however, far exceeded any reasonable expectation. It was based completely on circumstantial rather than hard or conclusive evidence.

“We are humbled by the support the New England Patriots have received from our fans throughout the world. We recognize our fans’ concerns regarding the NFL’s penalties and share in their disappointment in how this one-sided investigation was handled, as well as the dismissal of the scientific evidence supported by the Ideal Gas Law in the final report.

“Tom Brady has our unconditional support. Our belief in him has not wavered.”
Put though money where though mouth is, or sit down to tinkle!

If that's your conviction, if you believe Brady, you don't suspend the ball boys.
When did they suspend the ballboys lol you keep dropping this nonsense

While I would have liked him to be more forceful and combative in his statement, at least it gives us some hope that he will fight.

Until he does something nothin will come about. Let's just hope Tom doesn't miss any games and is somehow now have to be proven innocent instead of guilty

The use of the past tense certainly feels like a shot across Goodell's bow; I'm hoping that this is just a prelude of things to come and that Kraft is going to fight this thing.

Did the Patriots suspend M&J? I thought the league did.

That was an OK start to a statement, but there better be more.
Whining that it was unfair is weak, turning that into, I don't care what the rules say, I will not accept this, is where it needs to go.

lets see the appeal or lawsuit next. but this is a good start

All hes doing is biding time and weighing his options.

Clearly Goody informed him what the penalty was. Not sure what he said but IMO his language leaves him open to a course-correction pending on what his team advises that his options may consist of. Part of it is placation I'm sure but I do think hes ripped **** over the sanctions.

The league did. Colorado has no clue what he's talking about.

I actually find this strongly worded from a legal standpoint. It's about to go nuclear IMO.

Actions speak louder Bobby. I think the CBA gives you little-to-none in the way of options. Give Tom your best lawyers lol.

But does the CBA stop an owner getting his political buddies involved? I highly doubt it and they can intervene in a way lawyers can't.

Weak, but could be much worse. Still leaves the door open for more to come.
