The Axe has fallen. Brady has been suspended for four games

A first round pick is absurd, and I hate the Pats.

  • Apparently there is language in the judgement that the lost pick is their first pick in the round. Aka if they trade into the first round, they can only trade in after wherever their pick would have been.
wow

Stick the knife in and then twist the knife so the wound doesn't heal.

One way for fans to have a voice is to not enter the stadium on opening nite. Stay in parking lot, protest. Corrupt NFL met w/ empty stadium

Can this happen ???

It would be hard to pull off but it would a VERY POWERFUL fan statement. I have been among the minority in here, to say the least, regarding my belief that Brady was guilty. But the penalty is absurd. No one was killed, no drugs were taken, no women raped, so on and so forth. Usually I just kinda laugh off this kind of idea, but in this case it would be worth a major effort. The opening game for the NFL and no one in the stadium, wow.

Since the PSI of a football is so important to the integrity of the game the NFL has no choice but to change the rule regarding how they are handled, right? They should assume full control of the balls themselves and check them at the half and end of every game this coming season. What are they going to do when in cold weather games the footballs are found to be not in compliance with the PSI rules? Suspend and fine themselves?

Oh yeah that's right, it was never about the PSI of a football in the first place.

Thanks, buddy....THAT will be printed on 5000 flyers I intend to pass out before game one in all the parking lots and inside the Razor. I was only going to spring for 30 K flyers but a good buddy in the printing biz has offered me a half price deal...I'm thinking 50,000 sheets with the most vicious, over the top insults of Goodell and his cronies as legally possible.

I'll need volunteers as the game approaches. There is nothing illegal about handing out circulars so don't worry.
No worries dude. I'll make an effort to help you.

If I make it down there I'll be right there with you buddy about six beers deep.

The one positive from this all. If the reaction after the kc loss last year sparked the performance it did, imagine how big a chip Brady's gonna have after this garbage.

This. He'll play until he's 50 or until Goodell declares Brady himself to be corrosive to the competitive balance of the league (like Jonathan E in the original Rollerball, basically.)

I would like to thank Troy Vincent for that letter he wrote, though. Prior to that, I didn't think Brady had a prayer of winning a defamation suit. Now he's got a shot.

This isn't punishment for something that someone is accused of being a part of. It's punishment for being involved in an event that evidence says didn't happen. Incredible. You could get Ted Wells to use his same logic to pin murder on Ray Lewis, a killing that actually happened, yet the league celebrated the guy and ESPN pays him to be on air. The is a terrible moment for the sport, and most fans will not realize it until it's too late.

but if the jets tampering causes is to lose our best defensive player it's only 100,000 fine.

Not to mention TRIPPING AN OPPOSING PLAYER DURING A GAME and getting...wait for it...another whopping $1K fine (not to mention them saying, you can't make this up...the Patriots made them do it)

Look, if there was evidence (not conjecture) Brady ordered these managers to drop the ball pressure below the limit (vice simply lowering the pressure within the limit as evidence DOES confirm) then a penalty was warranted, but as has been pointed out by many...did the punishment fit both the evidence and the "crime" of a rules violation that could've been avoided by the league simply taking away the balls they already had been appraised were "out of regs"? Apparently not.

The onus should have never been on any team to control the balls. The NFL allowed one of the great players to get slammed because they were unwilling to control the official footballs for each game. This league is despicable!!!!

Goodell = littlefinger

Its not even on evidence. ITs simply their version of failure to cooperate. Iam interested to see how Yee fights that remark from the league. the PSI stuff is easy to through out of the window in a legal battle i think.

I hope to hear from brady. I know its legal stuff but his silence is not helping.
