I want to hang around here though. I like everyone here and would like to secondhand find out how my beloved team is doing. But I need to do something else on Sunday. I can't do this anymore. It isn't worth it.

No more favorite teams for me. No more bending over so Roger can give it to me again.

I don't want to be, but I think I am. I just can't justify investing in this anymore.

Depends on what Kraft does for me. I'll support the team as long as Belichick is there because it's Coach, but if Kraft refuses this fight 1) I pray Belichick formally requests to be released from his contract and 2) whenever he retires I am done. Football has been steadily degrading since Tagliabue retired and this is the nail in the coffin for me. Kraft installed into power the man responsible for the death of the brightest star to ever shine in the American sports landscape and he managed to do so in under a decade. Protect the shield, right guys?

The more I think about this, the more I think we should start a "If Tom Brady Is Not at the Opening Game, Then I Won't Be Either," Campaign, with both the NFL and the Patriots, with fans refusing to attend or watch the NFL's marquee opener if this farce isn't reversed. I'm sure we could all sell our tickets to Steeler's fans. Yes, that is how mad I am.

I got to hear the punishment announced on my way home and it was stunning. The local sports talk hosts, central Texas, were focused on on how great it was that Brady will be back, if the suspension holds, in time for his first game to be in Indianapolis against the Colts, the team that turned them in.

So there is a thought about how the rest of the country views this.

As for me, I am almost certainly done with the NFL, I see it as just completely illegitimate now. We can say how much we love the Pats and pro football but that is just whistling past the graveyard. This ruling was the killer shot that finally killed the NFL, you can miss what you loved about the NFL but it isn't there any more. It is dead, and you are longing for what it was when it still alive.

That is understandable, but we'll all face reality in our own way. I am already starting the process of mentally separating from it.

The league is a dictatorship with a grudge against the Pats, and how do you thrive in a malevolent dictatorship that is judge, jury, and executioner, when you cannot challenge their rulings? You might kick yourself for ever letting them put you in that position, but that is the reality. The investigation was a farce and there was nothing proven against the Pats or Brady, but the hammer came down regardless. I could point out the discrepancy between punishment leveled against the Pats compared to other similar, or worse, offenses, but we Pats fans are already aware of that. This is more proof of that to clear thinkers but at this point it doesn't matter.

I saw the greatest dynasty, greatest head coach, and greatest QB of all time give me some of my greatest sports memories ever, and I thank them for that, but I will not spend any more of my time, money and energy on the corpse that used to be the NFL any more.

So the league found no proven guilt, and exonerated the schmuck and BB, but still hammered the franchise with the most severe punishment ever; we can only imagine what the penalty would have been if they could actually prove something against the Pats.

My hopes now are that Brady appeals the suspension and ultimately sues the NFL and the whole corrupt enterprise is exposed for what it is. Following that, once Brady has cleared his name I hope he immediately retires from the NFL; the league doesn't deserve having him in it.

I also hope BB resigns as head coach of the Pats and announces that he will never take another job in the NFL. I am sure he would be just as happy coaching a college team like Navy. Like Brady the NFL does not deserve BB.

I'll stick around to see how this all unfolds legally, but unless the legal challenges result in Brady and BB made completely whole, and all stolen draft picks and fines returned (except the 1 million dollars, I don't care about that), then I am done with the NFL.

All NFL records, honors, and accomplishments stop today, there will be nothing legitimate to compare to the past NFL going forward from today if this stands.

Honestly...

I will cry and die happy if Tom Brady wins the Super Bowl again. I could not think of a better revenge tale in my lifetime. He should then spit at the feet of this horrid putrid disgusting turd. Goodell is a demon and a plague.

Never spending another dime, I'll still watch the Pats but perhaps on a stream that doesn't generate NFL views.

Kraft is a billionaire, he does not care about me and I don't care about him. It has been a privilege to watch the greatness of Bradey and Belichick and the NFL and other teams want to tear them down out of jealousy. But I must remember, they don't put a dime in my pocket. I am somehow relieved the sanctions are this out of whack as it is just so ridiculous, it proves how stupid the whole system is and there is no sense getting too worked up about it. I have enjoyed the mental challenge of poking holes in the Wells report and learning and applying the science but that time has passed and it is now time for Brady'd lawyers to dance.

I agree, I won't attend the opener if the current situation is unchanged, no one else will get my tickets either as I hate the Steelers and their fans, Actually as of this moment I hate 31 teams and their fans. Maybe someone who is more creative than me can organize a Season Ticket Member protest.

There are better things to do on a Sunday afternoon than watch a mockery of sport. If Goodell is running the league this Fall, I'm going to be getting more exercise. If he's gone, I'll watch when Tom suits-up again (unless I've decided that there still are better things to do on a Sunday afternoon).

This is absolutely ludacrious where is the basis for this? We found no evidence of wring doing so your suspended for 4 games.

The draft picks are indefensible, Atlanta pumped in crowd noise for years, lost a 4th round pick.

If I was Kraft I would have Goodell gone in the next owners meeting. If not, refuse to take the field on opening night! Let the NFL pay back the network!

you guys will all be back

No a lot of us won't. Look what happened to baseball 2 scandals in. Fan is short for fanatic. And we're capable of being as stout of detractors as we are supporters.

For those of you who can't look away, I encourage you to organize a product boycott of anything advertised at the games and make sure everyone knows about it. There are a bunch of women's groups who would love to help you with the effort.

It's been fun guys. I'm going to miss bringing my son to training camp.

Will only watch Pats games. On bootleg streaming sites. Or a sports bar at best (while sipping orange juice).

No jerseys, no merchandise. Was high on buying the white Nike SB49 jacket. Now screw that (can't even wear it anyway without inviting negative attention).

No more visits to the razor. Wouldn't even dream of purchasing Sunday ticket, NFL channel, or any purchase that channels my $ to that ****-show of a league. No cable either.

There's little point in getting invested in a team in a league where the league sets rules or judgements specifically because it doesn't like it your team's success.

No, but I'm really disappointed about opening night now. It would have been the perfect opportunity to take in my first home game. This sucks.

The Bad Guys won.
Not that it matters to ****face Goodell or cave troll fans and the sock puppet media, but yeah football is dead.
