The Axe has fallen. Brady has been suspended for four games

**** the NFL and **** Kraft if he just lays down and lets this happen without doing anything. I can't continue to let myself be emotionally invested in a league run by this piece of **** commissioner or root for a team owned by a spineless/cowardly clown.

Salvo received. Response needs to come from Brady first. It's either (A) I don't like it but I except it. (B) fall on the sword and say I did wrong. (C) A Brady legal team writes the response and a return salvo is fired.
After that it is Kraft's turn. (A) I don't like it but except it or (B) The Patriots are putting their full support behind Brady and his legal team.

As I have said before this isn't about a court of law, it is about the the court of the public. Not a good shot at changing Emperor Goodell but the court of the public changed him on Ray Rice.
If nothing else give him a 'chop! chop!' to make him think long about pulling this travesty again.

Side note, anyone thinking Kraft didn't almost pop a blood vessel is just not thinking straight. He probably did. What it boils down to is will he now submit meekly or publicly and/or privately try to wag the dog.

Stay tuned (sad something of no import has turned into this).

That's a "this is going to be reduced on appeal so we better make sure it isn't reduced to nothing" penalty.

Impossible to stay positive with this announcement... Its very obvious that the league is once again trying to systematically destroy the Patriots in any way they can.

People acted like them waiting until after the draft was some huge favor to the Pats, but it was actually planned because since the Pats won the SB they'd only be taking the last pick in each round from them.. wait until next year, where it will most likely be a lower pick, especially with Brady missing 4 games and it hurts even more.

I'm completely blown away by this.. the sheer magnitude of that fine is so mind blowingly incredible that its blatantly clear that this whole thing has been manufactured.

Simply amazing... I don't understand the karma at play here.. this team was an underdog that never won anything until 2001.. then they go on an incredible streak and win 3 Super Bowls.. only to have all of those called into question from the bogus Spygate ********... and then 8 years later we get redemption with another SB win and its immediately called into question only 2-3 months after winning it... and we had to hear about how we're dirty cheaters for the entire 2 week build up to the Super Bowl.

This doesn't even feel like reality... I feel like someone any second now is going to be like "Gotcha! We were just f'ing around haha, no worries lets play football!".

I feel like I must be crazy or something... am I really this naive or are the majority of the population as dumb and manipulative as a bag of rocks?

Kraft wants to look innocent at the expense of everyone else. If he takes the punishment it looks like Kraft was in the clear and something under him must have went wrong. If he fights it, it's sort of his admission that he had some part in it. He only cares how he looks.

The Brady suspension pisses me off just as much as the 1st round draft pick.

It would make me sick to see Brady lose his job to Garoppolo if he does well, over all of this ********.

And we know Belichick has the balls to do something like trade Brady or let Garoppolo continue to start.

1 Million?!?!

1 million for air in a football which there was no definitive proof of any wrongdoing on TB12's part. I hate the NFL.

The 1 million is the least significant part of this entire fine....

This is what I fear doesnt happen. Plead innocence but accept the penalty. That would be horrible. OTOH if goodell is the arbitrator what use is the appeal ?

I can only hope that there are enough Patriot fans and people who actually care about truth and fair play who are absolutely disgusted by this and will demand that the NFL be held accountable for this travesty.

Sad. Goodell was not concerned about the integrity of the game, he just needed to get rid of Brady and ruin the credibility of the Patriots Superbowl victories. He basically suspended, fined and took draft picks from the Patriots because they didn't cooperate in the investigation. He couldn't get them for a probably or a maybe from the report. It's bull.

There is Keyshawn Johnson crying on the radio about how Brady acts like he's perfect and he's never done this or he's never done that, like... what? He's mad about Brady's seemingly perfected life on and off the field? WTH? He should stop beating up his girlfriend and do better and life, maybe he'll be just as successful and happy as Brady. These chumps on ESPN make me sick. Where can I find a neutral reaction to this crap?

he could file a suit and demand a impartial arbitraitor. Like I said earlier I would rather see TB profess his innocence and retire before accepting this crap.

The team punishment has been laid out. There's nothing more Goodell can do on that front. It's now up to Kraft to hang Goodell out to dry, first with a public statement, and then by getting him removed from his position as Commissioner. Kraft's got another opportunity, and plenty of reason, to do what he should have done long ago.

This is literally playing out like the real-world equivalent of Gladiator. The punishment looks like the thumb down from Goody in response to the screaming NFL crowd. As little as I think of the NFL management over Goody's reign, I am shocked by this.

Maybe this is some Machiavellian plan to get arbitrators to shoot down a ridiculous punishment, but I admittedly could not fathom how the NFL would see this as a good choice in business, logic or law. Unless the arbitration result is fixed like the Wells report and all this goes away, Kraft is the owner of a race car that just had the wheels taken off while the field completes 25% of the race. Unless he is blind and stupid, this cannot help his end game as a businessman, and certainly not as the fan he claims to be.

Sooo let me ask since i dont know. What if Kraft refuses to pay the fine? Could that take it outside of the league and into a courtroom where this could be won?
