The Axe has fallen. Brady has been suspended for four games

He gets the same suspension that Ben Rothlissberger got for having sex without consent with a drunken stranger in a public bathroom, for the second time in less than one year.

4 games maybe it gets lowered after appeal??? idk doesnt look like we make the playoffs.

This has been the NFL's M.O. from the start. The league has always preached parity, but the Pats have been the opposite of parity since 2001. Whatever the league can do to try to bring them back to the center, they will.

They are hoping that the Pats lose all four of the games Brady is suspended, so that they fall in the 9-7 to 12-4 range (i.e., right in the middle of the playoff push). They are hoping that one less 1st-rd caliber player will hurt the Pats in a few years.

If I wasn't so big into the Pats..today would be the day I stop watching

Poorly handled situation results in a poorly thought out punishment for a minor, and unproven breach of the rules.

At least as far as sports goes, yes, this is one of the most blatantly prejudicial things I've ever seen. It's pure character assassination based on flimsy evidence, and "enhanced" because of past "violations" based on flimsy evidence.
