sure he can.........and he could walk away tomorrow ...... he doesn't need anything from anyone, so the first moment this is no longer fun for him, it'll be easy for him to move on.....if you think about it, kraft needs brady more than brady needs kraft.....especially if there is a public perception that kraft helped brady to his retirement.

at his age (38 the next time he plays) he doesn't need any hand holding, but if this is what brady gets from the owner for taking all those below market years, the the perfect scenario would be for brady to have his last game be a 4th quarter comeback and a superbowl MVP win........at 38, I'm not sure I would even be in the mood to appeal......just say 'f*ck it.....I've played this game enough'

Again, what do you want Kraft to do?

Of course, but what does that have to do with Kraft standing behind him, and forcefully supporting him?
Do you think the union would object to Kraft releasing a public statement saying he has reviewed the wells report, and disagrees with (list about 10 major flaws) and is offended by the conclusions. That in his view Wells conclusion lacks any credible or logic based upon the dozens of assumptions that he must make to arrive at it?

agreed.......

What worries me the most is Brady having a press conference and casually walk to the podium and in his relaxed tone announce: "I'd like to announce my retirement. It's been great and it is fitting for me to go out on top. It has been made profoundly clear to me that NFL is prepared to proceed without me. Thanks You"

he's going to be 38 the next time there is a pats game.......a ripe old age to up and say one day 'this is not fun anymore and not worth the hassle'
Why do that if he still wants to play though? Go to the podium and demand a trade instead because you don't feel you have the owners and his organisations support any longer. Get traded to the Cardinals or the Rams. Give Turdell the middle finger when he presents you with your 4th Super Bowl MVP trophy and then announce that you'd rather retire than accept anything from a piece of scum like him again. The Krafts would never live it down for as long as they own the team.
Legen....wait for it...dary!

Again, what do you want Kraft to do?

back his player unequivocally ..... be assertive on behalf of the players that has brought him many championships

regardless of whether brady needs it or not (which he doesn't) at this point, pegula and woody johnson have done as much on behalf of brady

ummm....he's 38, has little kids, and just built his palace in brookline.....if he's not playing for the pats, he's not playing. walking away on top after 16 years in the league without only a scar from a torn acl and still 100% healthy would not be a bad move.....especially since hi wife makes more than he does

What would that do? He already said a lot of the stuff you said, do you want him to go on stage and moon Goodell?

Love it or hate it, he is one of thirty two and they hired him and gave im unlimited powers. Pretty much stuck with him until he finds a way to get rid of him.

The same Rams who Marshall Faulk and Kurt Warnet used to play for?

The same Rams who still insist the Pats filmed their walkthrough?

The same Cardinals who Patrick Peterson plays for?

No. Just no.

Thing is he still has the fire to play. As a lot of ex player have said, its very difficult to turn off or walk away from. And this ******** probably has only added more fuel to it than help extinguish it.

I'm thinking big picture on Kraft going to bat for Tom.

Of course I'd like him to do so, but glad he's hesitant in general (read: this is not typical)

It means that he will let BB and company do their job.

I can see an owner like Jimmy Haslam giving Goodell hell - same as what he has been giving his team.

Maybe Kraft can join the players union and picket himself.

Again, what do you want Kraft to do?
Make all of the following points, and do it in a press conference, on the Today show, 20/20 or whoever else will have him.

1) I support Tom Brady and know he did nothing to violate rules.
2) I reject the Wells report because:
3) The science actually supports that the balls were not tampered with
4) There is nothing linking Tom Brady to anything other than evidence created by Wells, including creating the meaning, nature and even who was involved in text messages, and considering everyone involved to be lying because they didn't give the answer he wanted, including the corroboration of a witness.
5) Tom Brady was right to not turn over his phone because the NFLPA collectively bargained that protection and withholding was to protect his union, not to hide anything.
6) I may be restrained in how I can protest penalties to the franchise, but Tom is not and I will support him.
7) From the day forward the Patriots will consistently log complaints against other teams and expect a full 103 day investigation and the same standard of guilt, which is if they can't prove they didn't do it, they are guilty.
8) I am requesting a separate meeting with Roger Goodell to voice my complaints, discuss the biased nature of the report, and his role in setting this up as a guilty until proven innocent situation, and after his poor performance in so many other investigations and decisions, my support for his as Commisioner is hanging in the balance.

Thats a good start.

I'm still not clear on exactly what you want from Kraft? No one, not Brady, not Kraft, not BB, is saying anything right now. To be honest with you, I don't think there's much Kraft can do and I suspect Brady knows that.

He should go the offensive to protect his meal ticket, rather than allow him to be a convicted innocent man who's legacy is tarnished forever.

At what point does doing the right thing become a chore?

it's obvious you don't get it and have zero concept of loyalty so I will stop wasting my time as well as yours

You think Tom gives a rats ass about who played for the Rams and who plays for the Cards? Us fans do. I believe there is only one team Tom would refuse to play for. The Jersey Sewer Rats......mmmmm......Maybe the Cornfed Unicorns also.

Whats a bigger picture than the GOAT who has made Kraft billions being railroaded by the man Kraft continues to support unequivocally?

I don't even care about the legacy........every rationally thinking person in the world knows that the Wells report is garbage.......so stand up like a man, and call the report 'garbage', and the job is done

it's really easy

It's very nice that you feel this way but that's not what Brady needs right now. It may be what you need, but you're not part of this. Brady needs to get this thing going. Get the punishment, decide what to do, move on.

If Bob Kraft does not get off his @ss and come out in support of, and fight with everything he's got to defend Brady, his reputation and legacy, I would come out in support of Brady demanding a trade and holding out until he got it, as well as BB resigning.

The day Brady sits a game, the Wells report goes down in history as a complete, accurate and proof Brady is a liar and a cheater.
