My Blueprint for the Defense

Have the shock/unknown factor of the Richards/Grissom picks stolen Malcolm Brown's thunder? Wasn't he always the perfect DT prospect for this defense? A top 15-20 talent? I don't know about anyone else but the idea of Brown/Easley up front gives me the warm and fuzzies. Two upper level talents drafted 29th and 32nd?!? Yes please.

I love the depth and versatility all over the DL. Just because Draft prognosticators aren't keen on richards and Grissom doesn't mean they can't help. I see Grissom as a situational pass-rusher. Maybe, like Jarvis Green from a few years ago. I don't even scout safeties. Without knowing the defense called and the ALL-22, they are impossible to evaluate. He has enough size and runs a 4.6. He's smart. Who knows?

This is ass-uming that Dom Easily will ever be healthy enough to help, and that is a big, big If.
Drafting Michael Bennett instead of a god-feckin-damn long-feckin-snapper would've gone a long,
long way to alleviating those concerns.

Bennett is a force in the interior and has two West Point parents, class of 1987. Smart, tough kid with a good first step.

I don't get it either, Captain. You make a very good point.
