Dear Robert Kraft

I really want the Patriots to come out tonight and say that they are bringing in an independent firm to test the influence of weather and gametime on the psi of a football, announce that readings will be taken at the start, half time and fulltime with each football being given a number to help making it easy to follow so therefore science can prove whether the ball deflates.

This needs to be announced prior to any NFL punishment because it will put pressure on the NFL (boom boom tish) because they don't have real evidence to punish, yet should the Patriots get evidence after fines or suspensions it can hit back.. with hopefully Goddell losing his job.

Remember when the Pats ran onto the field as a TEAM in 2001 Super Bowl...Kraft should learn from those players.

He did. When he added that last sentence to his statement, he chose to run with Goodell, Irsay, and Biscotti. We know where his true loyalties lie.

In the words of Kraft himself, he's a schmuck.

My position concerning Kraft has been consistent even the multitude on this site was ridiculing me for speaking what became fact. I said Kraft was wrong for throwing BB under the bus in 2007, he was wrong for supporting the POS in the Rice fiasco and in perhaps the ultimate betrayal letting Brady be railroaded to preserve his seat in the fraternity of owners. Unlike many of you who had been convinced that Kraft had almost mystical powers of influence over the other owners and the commissioner perhaps including Kraft himself, it is apparent that he couldn't influence a light bulb into a socket when it comes to protecting his team The only power he has is in the financial area where he can be a thorn in the side of resolution when Goodell assuredly botches another CBA, however that is an unlikely circumstance since it would hurt his pocketbook. We can wait now as the hammer comes down on Brady and this season as Jellyfish Bob and his bimbo sit in the owners box with their friend Goodell. I just hope the fans give them the welcome they deserve.

We, as a fan base, need to seriously revolt against Kraft's statement and need to make sure our anger and anguish is heard. Kraft needs to understand what a dipshit statement he made, and that we will be even more infuriated if he actually accepts any punishment. I am talking pickets and horns and online petitions and the works. We need to get a movement going. Someone needs to stand by Brady. Bruschi alone isn't enough. And we need to start with first putting pressure on Kraft.

I think Kraft needs a message from his fans. Lets use this thread. I'm sure someone can get it to Kraft.

My message:

Tom Brady told you the first day that he met you that he would be the best decision this organization ever made.
He was right.
He has brought you untold millions, and it has helped you gain the respect and admiration of your fan base, at a level exponentially higher than you would have without him and the rings he brought this franchise.
YOUR league, and you 'boy' Roger Goodell are hanging this man out to dry. The entire total of "evidence" in the Wells report vs Tom Brady is Wells personal interpretation of text messages that required him to conclude that everyone involved is lying. For tom Brady to be culpable in any way (of something that probably never happened anyway because the massacred the science) is to believe that you employ a cadre of liars.
Make no mistake, the only way Brady is guilty is under the assumption that anyone Robert Kraft employs is a liar.

As a fan of the NE Patriots, I expect, and in fact, demand that you take this fight to the league and clear Tom Brady and when that does not happen, you offer him your team of lawyers to assist him in taking this matter to court, and volunteer to be the first witness on his behalf. For now, a public statement that you are offended by the accusations against Tom Brady and appalled by the sham of a report that you paid 1/32 of the bill for would be a good start.

If you wish to read the temperature of your fan base, it would be safe to say their support of you will be equal to your support of Tom Brady.

I lol'd.

I agree though we have to drag the NFL into legal hell, we have to get off the defensive and get on the offensive. It's time to attack the NFL right back and put them on their heels, we will not go quietly. You want to make assumptions and defame Brady's entire career as well as the integrity of this organization there will be hell to pay.

" I do not work for Tom Brady." -Robert Kraft
I still remembered this comment from Kraft. Seemed odd. Know we know......

If Kraft does not support Brady 100% I hope Brady asks for a trade. I hope it also costs Kraft a few million fans. If Kraft cannot stand behind Brady, why should he own this team?
Brady is an emotional guy. We suspect he didn't show up to the White House because the spokeshack made a stupid comment about Tom's response to this whole matter. Remember him getting all emotional on ESPN about being drafted so low?

This is a valid concern. Tom's feelings of being betrayed by the owner may cause him to ask for a trade. Maybe not this season, but at the end. Unfortunately, it looks as though a six-game suspension is coming, more a bone being thrown to the mob. Nothing about justice or truth.

What scares me is this: Tom Brady in another uniform. Can you imagine him as a Jet or Bill?

This thing is, what, 3 days in? We don't know what Kraft and Brady are saying to each other behind the scenes, we don't know what Brady or Kraft is planning. For all we know Brady and Kraft decided this would be more successful if the fight is headed by Brady not the team (maybe the details of league policy make the more successful tact via Brady).

Kraft made a statement. There is no reason at all he has to adhere to it religiously. He could easily say 'given circumstances I am now (fill in the blank)'. So while I agree that Kraft ultimately bending over and taking it would be greatly disappointing, let's at least let see Brady's team make its move before we ask what Kraft is going to do.

Relax, this is not the final act.

After reading some news IMO Brady wanted footballs to be certain PSI lvl. Those two guys did was their business. My QB wants balls to be certain PSI lvl so i would like to make him happy. I dont think Brady is mastermind. And all 3 of them are in PATRIOTS organization so if any punishment its for the whole team.

As for latest KRAFT statement i think is stupid and if Brady is fined with 1$ fine or one year suspension i am not pats fan anymore, cause this is KRAFT team. He owns it. I am fan of his team and KRAFT should realise that with me or any of you guys who pays tickets watch pats on TV his team would be worth nothing. And not backin BB in 2007 and no this deflate story without any reasonable evidence i will not be PATRIOS fan anymore.

My last words on this subject until the "penalty" is announced. I really don't think fans should be laying all of this on Kraft at the moment. Give it a little time.

If Brady get's suspended (I just heard 2 games) then let's see what Kraft does.

We have already seen what Kraft is made of in 2007. This is just act two.

LOL......providing Brady doesn't even feel the need to defend himself, I'm not sure why Kraft would be pounding the table with his shoe

this is how the pats do things....they say as little as possible

this notions that Kraft can make a difference for Brady is a joke.....he can't and it's better to say as little as possible

Kraft was speaking for himself........BB is a big boy, he can speak for himself......Brady is also a big boy and can speak for himself

Kraft didn't do anything wrong in Spygate either.

He got out in front of Spygate and said that " He understood some people are envious and want to tear his team down because of its success." Later it was found out that his team did tape from an illegal location unbeknownst to Kraft. Kraft did what a man does. He admitted fault and took his medicine. He expressed his disappointment in Belichick calling him a " Smuck."

Kraft will be here when Belichick decides to leave and Kraft has a reputation to uphold as an influential leader in the NFL.

You cant have it both ways. Everyone knows what the Krafts expect in regards to decorum and not wanting Thugs and Wifebeaters on their team or in their organization. They want people involved in charities and giving back to the community. They want upstanding athletes and citizens. The Kraft brand stands for right and not wrong.

The evidence is flimsy in regard to deflategtate, but something funny happened to the Pats balls. I just wish none of this had ever happened.

But it was that opportunity that Kraft completely f_ked up and added more wind to the Good Ship Goody.

Everyone knows what went down with Spygate (well, the informed ones). Goodys beloved Jets *****ed about taping. BB said the game day ops manual allows it. Goody arbitrarily changed the rule w/o the competition committees vote and ratification and BB told Goody to f__k off. Thats where Bill made the mistake. He should have escalated that to Bob right then. Instead he squared off vs Goody w/o the political support from Bob.

What Kraft should have done was have a sit down with Goody and said that I support you but this Draconian Law BS can't happen again. Instead he laid down like a dog and unjustifiably took it right up the ***.

Kraft empowered Goody which gave him the muscle to evolve into judge, jury and executioner that he is today.

The taping went on for years under Tagliabue. Like all things, over time, boundaries are crossed a little here and a little there. A 65 mph speed limit means 70 + mph.

Goodell came is and cracked down on taping. BB said that he interpreted the " New Rules" differently. If BB was right and Goodell wrong, then by all means Kraft and the entire NEP organization shoukd have fought the fine to the ends of the earth.

I don't believe that to be the case at all. Kraft knew he was screwed and had no recourse.

Well, I think it depends on what you believe happened and why there was so much concern over it, @Triumph..

IMO it was an optics issue and Goody feeling that BB didn't respect the commissioner's office- plain and simple. Thats what Goody was all about when discussing the matter with Bob.

The BB "rules misinterpretation" was a missive to not publicly say that he was ignoring Goody's implementation of ad-hoc law.

Thats what I believe, anyway...

We have found the last person in New England that thinks Kraft handled Spygate right. You raise the point that Kraft will be around after Brady and BB are gone, however the real point is will the fans be there. One does not engender loyalty to a brand by appeasing the POS ai the expense of your most important employees. As for Kraft's reputation, I don't think turning your back on your dying wife to conduct business and chasing a bimbo young enough to be your granddaughter are considered enhancements to his reputation

Well, youre still here 8 years after Krafts response to Spygate.

His comments couldn't have upset you too much. One more thing, no 1 person is bigger than the team. Brady will be let go someday and maybe even cut when his skills wane.

You and I have been in accordance on most issues lately, but I have to call BS on your last sentence - cheap shot, in my opinion.

I have been following the Pats since when Butch Songin was the QB so I have a very good idea how much one player and one coach mean to the success of a team. Let me remind you how great Kraft's Pats team was in the Bobby Grier regime. I have every reason to believe that level of mediocrity will be achieved when the people who are most responsible for the team's record are no longer there . If Kraft thinks that he not BB and Brady are nnot responsible for the team's winning asa he indicates through his actions, good luck in the future which may be sooner than he anticipated.

As I stated before Kraft can personally raise hell with Goodell, and try to get any suspension killed or reduced.
However, he cannot sue the NFL. It's in his franchise agreement that he signed when he bought the team. He must abide by any final penalty that the NFL comes down with on the TEAM. If he went to court it would be thrown out before any trial or even pre-trial hearing. That is what he meant when he said fighting it would be futile.

TFB has a whole different situation as he is a member of the NFLPA. So the NFLPA can, and will, fight any punishment to Brady, not the TEAM. Brady can also fight it with his own team of lawyers.
