Giardi: Sources near Pats fear 6-8 game suspension

I think one way people can show their anger to Kraft is boycotting the two pre season games.

I have no idea what the hell is going on here... This is just pure insanity. I always looks at things from different perspectives, but I can't for the life of me get what is happening here.

If fans really want to hurt Kraft (assuming he does nothing), boycott all the home games the Patriots play while Brady serves a suspension and don't buy official Patriots NFL gear.

Billionaires only understand money. Hit them where it hurts and they listen.

I'll let this play out before deciding how I feel about it all.

I have gotten to the point where I hope that whatever discipline is handed down it will cause Brady et al to go nuclear on it and rip apart the entire report in arbitration (or whatever is the appropriate venue). I honestly prefer a scenario with a suspension that eventually puts the entire record straight to a fine that keeps this ******** of a report standing.
I seriously doubt they will go nuclear and file a lawsuit. Thats a long drawn out process which I dont know if they want to get into . Yee is trying his best in the media to educate everyone about what he thinks to effect the nfl's decision but in the end they will probably just appeal it and get it reduced.

How could they give him anywhere close to this? By them not giving a **** about beating your GF/wife..6-8 for Brady would be disaster for the NFL PR

If they didn't **** that rice suspension up..they 6-8 maybe

PR is what this is. IF they give less than 2 games its a bad PR for the league. Who is going to cause bad PR if they give 6-8 games ? No one in the country is comparing this to ray rice's offense unfortunately . They just want to see if Goodell has the guts to punish his buddy kraft and the patriots. So a suspension of elss than 2 games or no suspension is a PR nightmare for the NFL not the otherway round as it should be.

NFLPA had better take its gloves right the hell off if Goodell is contemplating something like this. Yee's point about Brady being cooperative, but not downright submissive is a great one. If TB cow-tows to the the league's (biased) investigation by giving them everything they ask for then the precedent is set for every player in the NFL.

Sadly, I think many people would adopt a double standard to see the Patriots / Brady punished as harshly as possible. This would be a travesty if it were Manning or Rodgers, of course. People would be up in arms about the travesty of how many games they got versus the plainly hamfisted reaction to Rice, but it's Brady - so he "deserves it."

There's no logic.

Someone brought up a interesting point on twitter a few days ago: would the NFL suspend Brady, taking him out of the season opener against the Steelers. Imagine the ratings if he wasn't suspended and played. Ad revenue would be thru the roof for that game. What does the NFL want more?

Wait...what did Ray Rice get for smacking his GF? 2 games? What did Ray Lewis get?

Ray Lewis got a fine. But all he did was obstruct a murder prosecution so we shouldn't have expected more than that.

3-4 times worse than Ray Rice originally got. Classic NFL.

Well after all, the report is 147 pages longer, so it's about 3 times as bad right there.

Ray more probably than not had a general awareness... Janay, not so much.

I just found the missing page of the wells report: http://mentalfloss.com/article/24090/quick-10-10-ways-identify-witch

Guys its more probable then not that tom brady is in fact a witch.

He turned me into a newt! I got better....

I don't get the anger at Kraft. His statement is as far as he can go.

I don't get people saying Tom should say "FU" by retiring. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I do get fighting any suspension, on so many grounds it's hard to count them all.

Goodell has painted himself into a corner with Rice/Peterson; The reason I say this is that The Shield's inconsistency is now a story as well. Although predictably the angle has been cheaty McCheatriots, there's also been media firing back at that narrative from various angles -- mainly not engaging the subject of the report, rather, taking the "damning text" - a guy actually called himself 'The Deflator' - and jumping to Big Head Cheatriot without the ink to connect the dots. Rather, I've seen discussions like "really, how blown out of proportion is this?" and the Ray Rice point, and now and then the "every quarterback in the league has a preference about game balls" and the like.

This isn't the 24/7 one-sided rubbish I saw with Cameragate... there's even a "Framegate" way of talking about it out there this time...

I wonder how long Goodell will drag out his "big decision" on Brady. Maybe he'll do a live show called "The Decision" like LeBron James. I just don't think he gets away unscathed on the inconsistency count.

On the count of things like "Tampering...? Oh it's just the JEST? 100K!" - that's past the sophistication level of the average fan. I haven't seen one person remarking on the 16 PSI balls that the refs inflated to that range.

Because *****ing and crying works so well..

Look, Woody Johnson might be a moron owner but he knew when to shut up when punishment was on the line... keeping your mouth shut can be the difference in a two to eight week suspension... let the commissioner rule...THEN REACT!! why add flame to the fire...??

Did you just fall off the Watermelon truck?

Woody knew he was getting because many in the NFL office worked for the scummy Jets, including the corrupt commissioner who put out the hit on Brady.

Kraft F'd this up from the get go, he should have never agreed to the NFL's hired gun Wells.

The when the report was imminent, had they seen the report, he waved the white flag and bent Brady over for Goodell.

Kraft screwed the pooch on the one.

Brady's good name and legacy is at stake here he needs to go nuclear if innocent here, and I believe he has done NOTHING wrong.

If Brady isn't playing opening the fans should boycott the game, no crowd for the pre game show on NBC, no parking, concessions, and the NFL season opener, played in an empty stadium. F em all.

Kraft wasn't in any position to agree or disagree with who was picked to run the investigation.

The when the report was imminent, had they seen the report, he waved the white flag and bent Brady over for Goodell.

That's the part I have a problem with.

I'd rather have the team captains come out for the coin toss, tell the ref they are forfeiting, and have the whole team walk off the field.
