Brady will be suspended by Roger Goodell for role in DeflateGate, announcement expected next week

I think n any significant suspension will make the NFL look even worse than they do to advocates against domestic violence. Ray Rice 2 games, and literally dozens and dozens of cases where no punishment was given. If they do go that route Brady's lawyers are going to b slash and burn the WellsReport and it will be overturned
Look worse to who? The general public wants blood and this decision will be made to appease the public not rationally. no one is going to question the league about ray rice vs this because they dont care except pats fans.
I also dont see brady's lawyers doing a big deal either. Just appeal and get it reduced. Going to litigation has its own challenges of time and exposure I would think.
They will issue a statement they are disappointed, brady will appeal via the NFLPA and get it reduced- all the more reason I expect the NFL to have the suspension for a long time predicting an appeal reduction.

Why are people believing that buffoon gary myers? He says his source says goodell is going to suspend him but troy vincent is the one that is handing out the punishment. Any leak from the NFL would not have goodell giving out the punishment it would be troy vincent. goodell is too scared to have his name attached to handing out the punishment because he knows what is gonna happen and so when he is deposed in this case his line will be "I had no part in the decision of the punishment"

Because it makes too much sense. Float this out on a Friday afternoon when no one is on the office all weekend so the media can keep on speculating. By Monday afternoon everyone is frothing at the mouth for blood, and his press conference is all across the news. Roger will say a few platitudes " No competitive advantage gained, but trying to send a strong message" ect ect.

Anyone looking for hellfire and brimstone will be disappointed. Or anyone expecting a surprise Saturday BB press conference like the bone we got thrown in January.

I honestly just feel stupid for thinking the Wells Investigation was going to go our way.

I really don't see Tom accepting anything without a decent fight. This is an innocent man with tons of pride being not just accused but now "proven" to be both a cheater AND a liar. Unlike other NFL fines where there was clear wrong doing this is a whole different kettle o' fish..

Wouldn't be shocked to see Brady retire and sever all ties with the NFL if they suspend him. He doesn't deserve to be subjected to this ********, so honestly I wouldn't blame him.

If Brady is ever going to make a statement strongly denying any involvement, it needs to come soon & be convincing. C'mon Tom.

Sorry. But I agree with JMC00. Brady isn't saying squat until the "punishment" is handed down. And then the league had best be prepared to go before a judge and show that there was more than pure supposition that Brady had knowledge of anything more than "Bird" (McNally) and "Johnny" (Jastremski) being told to make sure the balls were between 12.5-12.6 psi.

I have to disagree with you. This is most assuredly going to go before the judge in Minnesota because of the defamation to Tom and his brand. It's plain as day that Brady and his legal team aren't going to take this lying down. The words that Yee has used has said as much..

He isn't going to make a statement until that coward goodell has his puppet troy vincent announce the punishment.

The puppet is influenced more than anything by public opinion. The only way IMO to change public opinion one iota is for Tom to come out strong and convincing.

The science in the Wells report is CRAP, but the public cannot be made to understand that. They still cannot be made to understand the concept that a container of gas drops in pressure as it cools. Pre-Abe Lincoln science.

No way. Brady is going to rip the league a new one next season. Cant wait. Hes going to break td record again

It would suck if he gets suspeneded, at this point, there's no sense worrying till something happens. If he gets suspended, I hope he unleashes hell on the NFL...

I don't accept anything about this at all. But at this point I am getting to wits end reading/thinking/getting angry about it.

If it's 2 games, maybe just eat it and move on. Give the morons that figure this to be the worst thing since Pearl Harbor or Hurricane Katrina something to feel satisfied about. This is the most ridiculous thing I have been a witness to in 39 years on this planet, and yes I saw "Showgirls".

I can tell you one thing though; should the Patriots win an AFC title, or god forbid for the NFL assholes, the SuperBowl, there will be NO GOODELL ever again at Foxboro Stadium and there is no way any Patriot will accept any trophy from that incompetent assassin on any stage ever in this lifetime. Will MR Commish be at the opener Thursday night? God folks, I know it sucks but we all should boycott that game. Showcase an empty stadium on opening night for everyone to see.

I hope so but this is crap I mean in my lifetime no player has been the poster boy of what is good about the NFL more than Tom Brady. To do this to his reputation without having evidence to support more than a "probable" is heinous.

I wish Aaron Hernandez had put 5 bullets in Goodell, the guy is a vindictive and malicious ******* who is the worst commissioner to ever represent a major sports league.

I hope you are right. But yee's language has mellowed as the day has gone on. I felt he is trying to do damage control with the NFL indirectly by getting his view across .Not really sure if they are going for big fight. they might appeal their discipline but iam sure well's language is such that defamation will be very hard to win.
This guy outlines some of his options

Right now I am wondering which organisation is more internally corrupt with the way it runs things.. FIFA and Sepp Blatter or the NFL and Goddell

I cannot imagine that Brady and his people are going to quietly seek a repeal and do nothing else. The nation has come in droves to slander him over a "probably" and attempt to forever shatter his reputation as a public figure. Could not imagine going down quietly. It's not something that will just go away in time.

While I tend to agree that Yee has toned it down a little I don't think it will last once a punishment is doled out. Maybe he is keeping a measured response and not agitating the league before they make their decision.

If the league punishes the Patriots/Brady harshly to show Goodell isn't too buddy buddy with Kraft, would that not be legitimate cause to raise the issue of a breach of the anti-trust exemption?
