yeah......I think it is going to be very interesting if this bears out.........brady can inflict near unlimited damage with an appeal

I think goodell doesn't know what to do

I think n any significant suspension will make the NFL look even worse than they do to advocates against domestic violence. Ray Rice 2 games, and literally dozens and dozens of cases where no punishment was given. If they do go that route Brady's lawyers are going to b slash and burn the WellsReport and it will be overturned

Another leak. Why would anyone turn over their phone to the NFL unless they wanted all the information contained leaked to the world? I'm surprised that point hasn't been argued more strenuously.

Look, I know what we all WANT to happen. But, (and I sincerely hope I am wrong), things are going to go about how Spygate went. Kraft will remain quiet, Brady will appeal his suspension without any of the fire we want (his agents comments to Mark Daniels that were put on Twitter were incredibly weak) and accept an unfair reduced suspension, and Coach Belichick won't mention anything about it to the press. Then we get to listen to a good 4 months solid of "Cheater" talk and Kraft acts like it's no big deal. Its absolutely ridiculous, but we saw the same thing happen in 07. Sad but true.

I hope you're not right....but it sounds realistic

There actually was a case about 2000 years ago that has a lot of parallels to Framegate (though of much greater significance)
- Upstart player who achieved unexpected success
- Jealous competitors who brought trumped up charges against him to the authorities
- Sham trial that roused the mob mentality of the masses
- Only the followers of the accused tried to defend him
- Over the top punishment given to please the mob

And with punishment being given out by Vincent, I expect Goodell to claim he "washes his hand" regarding the outcome

If Brady gets any suspension, I pity the opposing teams when he gets back under center.

If that happens, I won't be listening to ****, because I won't be watching or supporting the Patriots or the NFL in any way.

So typical of the NFL. just keep the nfl in the news all the time. Keep the news stretched out during the dead period of the off season.

What really bothers me are all the leaks... it's just getting out of control at this point

Unfortunately I am coming to the realization that this is the most likely scenario. Brady gets 8 games and it is reduced to 4. Kraft stays quiet and BB moves on to the next game. I hope I am wrong.

I think Don Yee is trying his best with the media rounds trying to influence eveyrone. In the end once the sentence is announced I dont expect any legal battle from brady as a lot of us here are expecting. An appeal, some reduction, maintaining his innocence and move on. Sadly that is going to be story . Really dont see this heading in the courts direction.
Iam just pissed the NFL is taking so long to announce it .

Ya my guess is Kraft won't do a thing

Why are people believing that buffoon gary myers? He says his source says goodell is going to suspend him but troy vincent is the one that is handing out the punishment. Any leak from the NFL would not have goodell giving out the punishment it would be troy vincent. goodell is too scared to have his name attached to handing out the punishment because he knows what is gonna happen and so when he is deposed in this case his line will be "I had no part in the decision of the punishment"

You never EVER lay all your cards out on the table when you plan on fighting someone in court. Doing so gives your opposition the advantage. By waiting until Brady has received whatever punishment the league decides to dole out for doing nothing, then Brady can file his appeal with the court in Minnesota that hears all the cases involving players and the NFL. Once you are in court, and only then, is when you blast away with all guns blazing to shred the NFL and it's ridiculous BS.

Furthermore, how many times do you have to be told that the SCIENCE included in the Wells report actually SUPPORTS the idea that the Patriots didn't tamper with the footballs. It was only the conclusions by Wells and Exponent that are flawed. Also, there have already been numerous people who came out and showed that just the difference in temperature could result in the changes to the footballs. There were at least 2 different well known professors and a well know company that provided the information.

Rest assured, this will be done long before the end of training camp and the league will be much sorrier for it.

Not to mention that the League should need to prove their allegations, Tom shouldn't need to prove he is innocent when they failed to show he was guilty or that the guy who went to the bathroom did any other than take a leak. If this happens, the NFL PA will destroy this bogus report & Goodell 's history of knee Jerk reactions that exceed his authority under the CBA

If Brady is ever going to make a statement strongly denying any involvement, it needs to come soon & be convincing. C'mon Tom.
