Giardi: Sources near Pats fear 6-8 game suspension

BB USED TO RUN A TIGHT SHIP...who are these idiots leaking information about the length of the suspension. BRING BACK THE OLD PATRIOTS. THEY SAID LITTLE and when questioned, they said even less.

Patriots aren't leaking anything. It is Giardi deciding to put it out there what we thinks and is wording it that is a source inside the Pats that thinks it could be 6-8. Except he words it fears and not thinks, two different things.

He knows the Patriots don't respond to these type of unnamed source reports. Unless of course it is some beat reporter making up a story about a beef that went down between a player and a coach.

But what will happen is people will read what they want an it becomes the Pats think Brady will be suspended 6-8 and Giardi is claiming an unnamed source with Pats ties fear it might be 6-8.

Has any other Pats beat guy concurred with Giardi's claim? You would have to think other guys have their sources too and they would be saying the same things.

Only in the NFL would they even consider possibly suspending their biggest star and current Superbowl MVP longer than people who fail PED tests and beat their wives on camera for what is essentially a minor equipment issue with no direct evidence. I mean it's just frigging mind blowing. It would be like MLB not letting George Brett into the hall of fame because of pine tar.

He'd be better off beating his wife, the punishment is less by NFL standards

Or smoke pot there is noting at all wrong about that in the NFL world.

Somehow I bet the ridiculously light penalty Goodell gave the Rats for tampering with Revis didn't make it into the discussion.

You are correct, they mentioned the Tuck Rule, Spygate, eligible receivers vs ineligible receiver and Deflategate as a pattern of cheating for the Pats and then the fake sound sound and the GM texting. Nothing about Tampergate. I am more amazed every day how many people hate the Pats. Brady needs Olivia Pope from Scandal on TV to bail him out.

I believe Brady's legal team will be bringing up how in past cases of tampering there was a fine, loss of draft pick and a swap of draft picks but when the jests Woody Johnson text book tampered during a press conference they only were punished with a $100k fine.

Could you please tell the court why those other cases had a certain punishment and but an organization that you and VP of Game Operations Mike Kensil worked for only were fined $100k

They don't have to bring up the Jets tampering charges, they should bring up the Panthers/Vikings game from earlier in the season. Those two teams were altering the composition of the ball during the game (after the pre game inspection) by warming them up with sideline heaters on a cold day. The big difference between this game and the Pats situation? There is actual video evidence on the ball boys warming up the balls as opposed to the Pats "probably" doing it. And all they got was a verbal warning.

What the? They are on NFL Radio and they are saying the Tuck Rule and the eligible/ineligible receivers are pattern on cheating?

So rules in the NFL rule book is cheating?

Just shows you the anti-Patriot bias.

We are way beyond anti-Patriot bias.

I was always hesitant to think that the league has it out for the Patriots.

I truly think that the NFL office wants nothing more than the organization's image thoroughly destroyed and turned into a consistent loser.

What I don't understand is the why.

They can bring that up too. I just saying it will paint the league in an inconsistent light of how they handle discipline. You have Woody Johnson tampering on record and he only gets $100k fine when Goodell set precedent twice with a fine, loss of draft pick and a swap of picks. How come Woody Johnson and the jests got off with only a $100k when he verbatim broke the tampering rules.

Brady is gonna gets 6-8 games because a couple of guys texted about the subject and that the NFL hired Ted Wells thinks Brady probably was aware. According to something I read earlier it is not illegal to let air out of the ball after the refs check it if it is within regulation of 12.5-13.5. Which then it goes to Walt Anderson credibility which he can't even remember something about the kicking ball but he remembers what each of the 24 footballs were when he measured them. Which then we get the gun for hire firm that gets the results you want and not the results science tells you which by the way they were using the Colts as the control ball except Walt Anderson said the Colts balls were higher than the Pats balls when they measured them so right there taints the test.

Well the f*cking VP of Game Operations is a former jests executive so

brady's not getting 6-8 games....goodell may hand down a suspension, but brady's missing no time in the end

no matter what the NFL tries to do to brady, he will not serve a single game suspension. If the NFL tries to suspend brady 6-8 games on "more probable than not" and "generally aware" the NFLPA will be on that so quick and brady will win his appeal.

then he will sue the NFL for defamation of character and likely win as well. he/Yee seem pretty confident...I think they know what a farce this report is and none of this would hold up if they took the NFL to court. its clear it was a hack job meant to paint the NFL in a good light and the pats/brady in a bad one.

LOL, the Pats are the whipping boys of the NFL. They do nothing right and everything wrong, but they still win. AND THAT IS THEIR CRIME. The Pats keep winning.

Yep, they are building a case that the Pats are always on the edge of the envelope and it has been proven via Spygate, Tuck rule that they are cheaters and as for the ineligible vs eligible is just another example of the Pats trying to use flexibility of rule to win games rather than good football. The country thinks this. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Brady's failure to go to the WH and his failure of not giving up his electronic documents speaks of he is less that a credible person. IMO the Past PR people suck, I could have done better developing a strategy to keep Brady out of the spotlight. As of now everything Brady has said has hurt himself and the Pats IMO, sorry for that position.

The question for me is IF Brady was given a six game suspension, would the NFLPA be able to toss the entire thing out? I have no doubt they'd be able to reduce the suspension significantly but even one game is unacceptable.

Everything changed for me with Deflategate.

Heh, that is just amazing. We are not talking about PI calls; there is no flexibility in those rules. A formation is either legal or not.

So nowadays innovating within the rules is considered something bad.

whatever it is, let's just hope it happens soon so they have plenty of time to fight it and or Jimmy has time to get ready for the season.

Well if you are using the Tuck Rule as cheating then you are a f*cking idiot, not sorry you just are.. As for the eligible/ineligible receiver, as Brady said "read the rule book", no rule was broken. Ravens are just butthurt hypocrites and cried to the league because they didn't think of it first. John Harbaugh just simply got out-coached on that one. Then again this in the same team whose #1 pass play is huck it up and try to get a Pass Interference call.

As for you other part it is clear you are a troll or chicken little so your little bearer of bad news rant is idiotic on multiple fronts. Brady not going to the white house has sh*t to do with anything he says he had a commitment, get over it and move on. As for failing to give up his phone, Ted Wells didn't have a warrant and Brady not giving it to him was 100% right not to do, during the Bounty investigation the NFLPA told players not to hand over their cell phones. This f*cktard Wells put texts between Jastremski and his mother in the report, what is the reason for putting those in.

No the NFLPA cant just waive the penalty, thats clear in the CBA, it has to go to arbitration.

At this point there are too many leaks coming out today that indicate 6-8 so I am betting thats what it is. Unfortunately I also believe if thats what happens he will serve a coupe of those at a minimum. This is only what I believe Im not saying anyone else is wrong. :)
