Giardi: Sources near Pats fear 6-8 game suspension

The NFL and 31 other teams are sick of the Patriots dominance. They are trying to level the playing field by giving our goat QB 4-6 games off. Like I said in another thread, the pats & Brady are going to be in full FU mode this season.

The deeper we get into this the more absurd it gets.

Biased media chuckle heads openly calling for year-long suspensions that would be justifiable only if he had beaten his wife while smoking rock cocaine while caught on camera or if he had murdered someone or ran over someone in his car while drunk.

Former cheaters who have been owned in the past by the Pats, like Merriman, going on CNN to complain about Brady. Mushmouth Sharpe getting his licks in.

ESPN with their breathless coverage of last night's Brady appearance with a split screen of noted cheater A-Rod as they openly cheered his accomplishments.

We live in an age of trial by twitter. Suddenly everyone is a sanctimonious a-hole. It's not just Florio anymore.

With the lack of clear evidence...anything more than first four games suspension would be excessive.

I was originally going to say a 1 or 2 game suspension but not turning over his phone may really piss the clueless wonder Jetdell off....
Any suspension whatsoever would be excessive.

The only 'evidence' is what wells thinks the texts meant, when everyone involved told him they meant something else.

Here is what a bronco fan thinks the punishment should be, so crazy.

"The following things aren't going to happen, but in my opinion, Brady needs to be suspended for all of the 2015 season. The SB win needs to be revoked and awarded to the Seahawks. The Patriots should have at least their first round pick taken away. (After all, this whole incident happened on the watch of Kraft and Belichick, so that alone means they have at least some guilt in all this.) Finally -- and this is the biggest one of all and the most unlikely to happen -- I believe the Patriots should be ineligible for postseason play in 2015 and 2016.

Yes, you read that correctly. Make a statement, NFL. Do the right thing."

Unbelievable, how about their last two squeaky clean titles.

Remember now, hired and paid by the NFL Ted Wells, whose law firm represented the NFL in a concussion lawsuit against former players.

Ya there is no possible conflicting interest there on how Wells went about the case,

he had two choices

-Fair investigation that probably turns up that the league ran an apparent sting and should have just done better regarding the PSI procedures

-Just go hard at the Patriots and Brady

Well Patriots and Brady haven't loaded Wells' law firm with millions of dollars, the NFL has.

Using this village idiot logic, the Broncos should retroactively suspend Elway for two seasons and revoke Super Bowls in 1997 and 1998 (handing them rightfully to the Packers and Falcons respectively) and be banned from postseason for five years for...

Blatantly cheating the salary cap. Ya' know, actual cheating.

How's this for a "statement" Bronco "fan"? Fair is fair.

The only thing preventing me from saying they should sue is the two "ballboys". What will they say under oath? Actually, probably only McNulty matters. If they don't change their story, then full steam ahead.

I think we may see Tom Brady on John Oliver talking about his (phone) twitter/text/email DixPicks (or I hope so, it's the perfect venue to give his side in full).

Only team to ever be caught taping another team's practice

I would like to go on there and remind this clown that denver was caught cheating with regards to the salary cap, and that both those Super Bowl teams shouldn't have been on the field the way they were constituted. And so he should see how far he can stick his head up his azz.

If the suspension is more than someone gets for a PED violation then we've officially moved into bizarro realm.

Moved? They moved into bizarro realm a long time ago. A TWO-HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE PAGE report about slightly underflated balls.

This is about more than Weeks 1-4 next season.

As I wrote in my earlier post, I can see Goodell handing down an 8 game suspension and the NFLPA appealing it back to a 4 game.

Goodell has a bad track record with these appeals.

I bet that if BSPN put out one of those 1/2 assed polls that asked the USA if the NFL should give the Patriots the "Death Penalty" I guarantee you'd get 50/50

....and Tom Brady taking the NFL to court. That is not a maybe. That is a will happen.

And the crazy thing is there is no performance advantage from a 11.5lb ball to a 12.5 lb ball. It is all personal preference. Like some guys wearing thigh pads or not.

I don't think hes behaving like that at all. I think he is playing out with NFL GC and PR the scenario of TB12 vs The NFL. I also think he has 1/2 a brain and in his own way loves the NFL and it's history. With that said, it comes down to this:

Does Roger Goodell really want to tarnish forever the reputation and legacy of one of the greatest players ever that has been the league's poster boy over a "probably"?

We joke here but Goodell is clearly an intelligent man. I find it unfathomable and beyond comprehension that he would do that.

Unfortunately, intelligence is something Goodell has failed to demonstrate since he's been commissioner

brady's as bad as rice/greg hardy according to the nfl.

insanity.

The "morality" of the NFL office and fans makes me want to puke.

How on Earth can you reason with people that decide things not on ethics, but either public opinion or their love/hate? YOU CAN'T

I want to puke.

the problem is most of the suspensions this is compared to doesn't effect the game.. if the league feels a game is compromised they overreact.. it is why Pete Rose isn't in the HOF while many scumbags are...

Do you believe that Brady "affected" the game?

Are sources near Patriots ever legit? They seem to make up a lot of stuff as it relates to Brady like Brady complaining to bring back Lloyd.
