Brady's response through Don Yee

On WEEI there is a health dose of reality and are bringing up the many flaws of the report

Dale & Holly care about ratings but they also care about their reputation as level-headed, reasonable sports talk show hosts.

Unlike Minihan and those other morons....

Thornton brought up the rep of the firm Wells hired to do the science, Dale and Holly were unaware of this.

Jim Miller on "Moving the Chains" brought up Yee's response and agree with the ripping of the Wells report and Kirwan agreed the real issue was the NFL's procedures.

Well I agree mostly. First this isn't going to court, it will go to arbitration and thats very different, in addition it is highly likely nothing from the arbitration will be released as far as evidence goes. Second, why wait, yeh you might be playing chicken but once and if the NFL announces a suspension regardless of how it ends up the damage is already done. Yes they are playing chicken but Im not sure it is the right train to play chicken with, why wait for it to come to you, like waiting to take the first punch.
This is the WWE remember? It's called a reversal!

Agreed... I find it interesting that so much in the Wells report was interpreted the way they wanted, and he basically said that he didn't accept the context given by McNally & Jastremski. However, Yee now reveals that Brady also provided context for this information, and Wells left it out entirely. It all sounds like they feel like they can show how slanted this report truly is.

In lawyer-speak, its an argument.

Others might call it propaganda.

I want a YouTube vid with Tom, Don, and the guys at Columbia going over the numbers from the Wells report detailing how it's a bunch of BS... Then say "now that we've established that, let's go over what Tom gave you that you conveniently omitted from the report..."

We'll get that as soon as Tom files his lawsuit against the league over the "punishment" they hand down. IMHO, regardless of what the punishment is, Tom plans on taking the league to court over it..

I hope you're right. I hope they take a $50 fine to court. Anything is an acceptance of guilt and a lot of this NFL sanctioned cover up needs to see the light of day.

How much more evidence do people need to see how phucking incompetent Roger Goodell is as NFL commissioner. Seriously, every type of controversy that has come up he has fumbled and bumbled with.

If you are going to toss something out there, the least you could do is make it credible.. The NFL doesn't deal in fines of $50.. They deal in fines that are multiples of $25K. And considering that they are talking about as much as a 4 game suspension, let's be real.

Furthermore, the defamation to Tom's reputation is more than $50.

The point is ANY penalty is unacceptable, and I thought that an absurdly small penalty being challenged makes that point.

What I don't get is the notion that the NFL is out to get Brady and the Pats and used a biased investigation team to do so? Would the league not want this to all go away since the Pats just won the SB and Brady its game MVP?

I think he was just saying that even if Tom somehow gets a total slap on the wrist he should still fight it.

My bad.. You were agreeing with me.. I misunderstood.

I think its likely because if they concluded that neither Tom nor the pats did anything wrong, then the attention would then rightfully turn to how pathetic the NFL/Goodell handles everything. From handling controversies, leaking information, to the fact its officials cannot not properly test a footballs air pressure or follow simple procedures.

12.5 to 13.5 is a strict and rigid staunch league referendum that should always be obeyed.

If this was such a strict league policy why is there a range?

I see that angle but incompetence can be accounted for. Having your current SB winning team and games MVP being shown to have cheated, not so much.

After reading the texts apparently it's OK for the refs to put balls in play that are over 3 PSI above the "regulation", but if it's a tick under because Brady complained it's like throwing a watermelon, that's a big issue.

This is totally on the LO and their incompetence. Total BS.

I don't think the NFL minds that they've got the fans of the other 31 on their toes to see the big bad patriots get heavily punished. I think Goodell would mind more if people, espn, etc were talking about how incompetent he is and how poorly he runs the league
