Unbelievable. From what I'm seeing, the general public and media (albeit ignorant as f*ck) is basically on a path towards painting Brady alongside guys like Barry Bonds, Pete Rose, A-Rod, Lance Armstrong.

That's where this is heading. What the f*ck.

It makes no sense.

This is what happens when you let the mob dictate, and PR becomes more important to you than the rights and privileges of individuals.

Actually, A-Rod plays for a New York team, so there's a chance for "redemption" for him.

I call it the Andy Pettite Syndrome.

Andy Pettite: I used PEDs.
Crowd: So brave..... All is forgiven

Roger Clemens: I didn't use PEDs, and I was found not guilty in a court of law
Crowd: Burn him!

Its amazing that the best they can come up with is 'more probably than not' something happened and 'more probably than not' Brady has some general knowledge of it, so that comes to what, about 25% chance that something did happen and Brady was aware, not involved, but aware, and the general tone across the country is Brady was proven to be a cheater.

Which the "more probable than not" is what exactly the NFL needed to act. Which pretty much shows this investigation was to prove the Patriots guilt and not to sort out all the ******** which reading this report shows there is a lot of it in the NFL's yard.

BTW, if we're supposed to take the texts as gospel, where the hell is the outrage that the officials screwed up so badly as to have pumped up a football to 16 PSI? That's clearly proof of a systemic problem, after all, and it's got to be as big a problem with the 'integrity of the game' as having footballs that are underinflated.

Here are facts about the Ted Wells report:

1) It doesn't include 99% of the interview with Tom Brady
2) The "science expert" the league used ("Exponent") provided data actually contradicts the findings that the balls couldn't have deflated that much due to the temperature changes.
3) They claim that the Patriots science was flawed, though the science they used was the same science used by the Head of the Boston College Physics Department and a Professor out of Carnegie Mellon.. Both of whom are more prestigious in the world of Physics than the "expert" that the NFL used. And both of whom came out and said that the science the Patriots used was correct.
4) It shows that Goodell lied about when he knew about the Colts claims. His original interview said he didn't find out until after the AFCCG. The Wells report says that Goodell knew a full week before the game of the claims of impropriety.
5) It shows that the league did not notify the Patriots prior to the AFCCG of any claims of impropriety regarding the footballs, though league rules mandate that the Patriots were supposed to have been informed.
6) In conjunction with the previous, despite the league not informing the Patriots and Goodell lying about when he was notified, the Wells report claims that the league did no wrong..
7) The report claims that thirteen footballs were presented to the referees prior to the game for "inspection". Yet, the standard is to present only 12. And every report prior had said that the Patriots had only provided 12.
8) Most of the content from the various interviews was not provided.
9) They do acknowledge that Brady likes the balls to be at 12.5 to 12.6 psi. Which is the lower legal limit.
10) 3 of the 4 Colts footballs measured during half-time were measured to be below the 12.5 psi limit by one official.
11) All 4 of the Colts footballs tested post game tested below the allowed psi by one official. None of the Patriots balls that were tested post-game tested low after having been filled at half-time to 13.5 psi.
12) Glaring information missing from the measurement data? The time and temperature at which the measurements were made.
13) The league actually sent factually incorrect information to Kraft after the AFCCG that over-stated how badly under-flated the balls were.

This things are just the surface of why that report is laughable and that Brady and Yee should take the NFL to task..

Which is such rubbish as there is nothing to act on.

.
This is important.
They are trying to calculate the expected drop over time from an estimated temperature to an estimated temperature.
What they do not take into consideration was where the balls stood toward equilibrium.
Example:
Patriots balls were stored in a room that was at 80 degrees before being brought to the referees room. If they were checked immediately at 68 degrees, they would not yet be at equilibrium so the expected drop would not be from 68 but from somewhere between 68 and 80. In other words in that scenario if they sat in the referees room for an hour or so, the 12.5 they initially tested at would be lower.
Conversely, if the Colts balls had been on the team bus, and brought in from there the psi was on the rise when they meausred, so it would have also not been at equilibrium of 68 but somewhere between 46 and 68.
With the slim differences, and inaccurate gauges, this could explain the majority of the difference.

All i can say is that i am pissed at the NFL, the Wells report and Goodell. Framgate is an abhorent attempt by the NFL to try and rebuold their image by trying to tarnish a true competitor and the GOAT.

I hope on kickoff Thursday that we ban Goodell and the NFL exectuive staff from entering Gillete Stadium. We remove all of the hoopla for kickoff thursday. And to begin the game we bring out the Lombardi and honor the championship for the fans and players.

After 24 hours, exhaustive reading and listening about this my conclusions...

More probable than not is the standard of proof the NFL uses to determine guilt, page 22 I believe..

More probable than not the report was commissioned to protect the shield of the NFL first and to find out about football pressure second...

More probable than not Walt Anderson who was given praise in this report, is a NFL favored son, that despite being warned he did not recheck the balls after he lost track of them...

More probable than not the conclusion was made to fit the facts.. they only checked 4 Colts Balls at half time, if this whole "ball inflation" thing is so important, why didn't finish the task after all it would take less than 1:40.... small time for such an important task..

More probable than not
the ballboys were definitely involved... but then there is always the tendency to blame those with the least power..

More probable than not Brady was either implicit or explicit in his role, I prefer the former, but if you are on the bottom rung of this corporate structure you listen closely to suggestion.

More probable than not Brady has every right to protect the privacy of his cellphone and the contents of it... it is also more probable than not that failing to provide the contents of a cellphone is not an admission of guilt.

More probable than not Brady will receive a two game suspension, will appeal and it will be reduced to a one game suspension.. he will then come back and tear the whole league up.

Cmon you guys all should have seen those comparisons coming. All that matters is the fan base and his teammates stand behind him. You can't really say the same for those other guys.

Steroid use vs. inflating balls??? c'mon now.....this isn't fair!

Point is those guys were so guilty that even their fans couldn't defend them.

There are millions of Patriots fans who can stand behind Tom and cheer him on every Sunday. His team mates will continue to follow him as a respected leader. Bonds, Armstrong, Rose, A-Rod. They never had that.

YES this deflation thing is so stupid and unimportant even if it was true (which I don't believe for a second). Just saying that Tom isn't going to be abandoned. He still has many many people rooting hard for him. That alone separates him from the real cheaters.

I'm sooo angry you don't even know man. I mean, HOW MANY TIMES ARE WE GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS! We spent 7 years living under the shadow of Spygate, and now we have Deflategate to deal with. What is it going to take for the world to accept that Tom Brady is simply the best?
