Brady's response through Don Yee

Brady needs to hire counsel that are specialists at ripping apart this kind of report and let them tear it to pieces. There's no reason to take this sitting down. That Report is garbage and any decent lawyer would have a field day shredding it, let alone lawyers who are specialists in that field. And the Kraft's should pay the bill.

Do you think Jerry Jones would lie down and roll over if he was in the same position? It isn't an owner's problem versus a player's problem. The reputation of the business he has built is at stake along with some pretty bug revenue. Kraft needs to stick with his bread and butter on this one.
I think Jerrah wouldn't have included the last paragraph in Bob's presser....and then silence.... like a lion waiting in the tall grass.

Don yee hammers the report but I dont where he indicates they are going to fight it with lawyers and such.I hope they do. Its similar to kraft's statement minus "we will accept whatever the league says"

For those of you who are hung up on Brady not submitting his cell phone records, don't forget that any text or call that Brady made with anyone else involved will show up in THEIR records. So there's really no significant missing evidence here.

Yet, McNally and Jastremski's logs showed no texts between them and Brady according to the reports.. Hmm..

I love the claim in the report that, in 100 seconds, the ball boy was able to deflate 13 balls to below 12.5 psi. Yet, they have no proof that this happened. Oh, and when did the number of balls become 13??? It's always been 12 to this point. Not to mention that we heard numerous reports that only 1 of the balls was significantly below the 12.5 psi..

Not to mention they expect us to then believe two refs could only measure 14 balls and not 23 balls in 12 minutes while also failing to record the PSI in the Patriots ball the Colts "suspected".

One way to turn this against Wells in the NFL is by pointing out that the scientific analysis WAS NOT pure garbage, and that it was right on. The balls fella s predicted by the scientific analysis team.

It's a mystery why Wells made his conclusions when the science matched the actual measurements.
That's just it.. Wells declared, outright, that the Patriots methods were flawed and erroneous..

Care to elaborate?

The notion that Bob Kraft does not care about the brand of the franchise is simply preposterous, and flies in the face of years of hard work, dedication, and accomplishment by him and his family. Ivan, do you seriously believe Robert Kraft does not care about the image and good name of his organization?

People, be rational, and don't let your emotions get to your head

The other thing I don't understand is why the absence of texts between McNally and Jastremski where they talk about doing anything under 12.5 isn't considered evidence that McNally was simply targeting that PSI. Those guys clearly were willing to discuss anything via text, so why isn't there something more incriminating?

I think it's been pointed out that Donald Yee is more than capable of handling this case and Shredding it.. Hell, I think that any number of "message board lawyers" here on Patsfans could tear this report to shreds and show defamation..

I believe that Robert Kraft drew a line in the sand and when the NFL league office and Ted Wells rushed across it he said " gosh, I wish you hasn't done that, but go ahead and punish us even though the investigation and report is garbage. " I believe he should have said the report is garbage and that the Patriots don't accept it and are hiring counsel to investigate the investigation and subsequent report as well as the league office. He has essentially invited the league office to shred the Patriots once again instead of saying that they learned from Spygate that going along to get along does more damage than good. No more eating sh.t sandwiches made by Kensil and delivered by Goodell.

Consider the source......Wells hired a company (Exponent) that gets hired to try to prove things like 2nd hand smoke doesn't cause cancer

Part of me is glad the report came out the way it is.......this could be the one that send goodell packing

Im talking about Wells' own contracted scientists.

Yep, and they acknowledge no phone or text contact between Brady and Jastremski for six months leading up to the Monday after the AFCCG yet act as of that proves collusion rather than showing there was none.

@Ivan He did say the report was garbage - at least to some effect. But he went soft ended by saying that he want no conflict between franchise and the League, and that he'd be prepared to accept discipline. I don't respect Kraft any less than I did before, but in this instance, him and I disagree. No argument there.

I'm trying my best to stay away from this, but occasionally I drift back here to see what's going on. Yee's statement is RIGHT on point. The entire the report WAS a series of inferences and assumptions obviously slanted to create a desired result.

I knew that Wells couldn't come out and condemn the NFL in this report, but wasn't aware that he's been in on the conspiracy from the start. Just based on Yee's brief observations you can how biased the report was, and how even it's presentation is designed to limit any mitigating opposing positions.

Maybe this week end I take the time to read the entire report or at least an objective objective summary. Because when it come time to fight this, and fight this I will where I can, I want to do it from a position of knowledge. There is no sense in just whining FU to Welles, Goodell, and the League. We have to fight for the minds of the ordinary fan, and those fans habituate sites like this and THIS is were we can eventually have an influence (small though it might be). To do otherwise would be to concede victory to evil, and go and cower underneath the covers.

So sincee I've come this far since I started this reasoned response to Yee's statement, which is starting to get rant-like, let me make this suggestions and hope smarter people carry it forward. Lets create a board dedicated to this topic. Lets offer threads designed to discuss aspects of the report and put together good and concise points to counter the deluge of scurrilous misinformation that we are about to be drowned with. At first it will be a good place to go to arm one's self in defense of what we are going to get. From there it will be a good place to go to arm yourself when you want to take the attack directly to the source of the evil.

Just a thought I'm putting out there. For now I'm going to go back into the cave and get productive with the rest of my life.

Why in the world did he say there would be no contest from the Patriots? Punishment hasnt even been handed down yet. He just gave the NFL carte blanche.

This is mindless and brainless.

Ivan - I just read pages 14 and 15 of the report. It's clear to me that what Jastremski and McNally were doing was tantamount to blackmailing Brady. If Brady didn't give them what they wanted, they'd over-inflate the balls for the game prep. If he did, then they made sure that the balls were filled to the pressure Brady liked.

How this wasn't plainly obvious to Wells is beyond me.
