The Published Wells Report.

What a joke if Brady not turning over his phone is suspicious, that's like refusing to let a cop search your car and getting convicted for running a meth lab in your trunk. Goodell and Wells is a POS. Ted Wells is a disgrace to our last name.
Good for Brady ... probably more than a few very famous people's number in that phone who would not be happy if that got out.

He's right that it's evidence. I think you are really arguing that some of the evidence shouldn't be considered because it doesn't have value.

No it's not. Tell me exactly what is evidence and what of.

While I always want to see the Pats win as much as possible, for me this upcoming season will find me rooting more strongly for the Pats to take every opportunity to give the league a black eye.

I hope BB stretches the rule book to every possible legal limit just for the sideshow it will produce.

Bleep the NFL! They deserve to be made to look ridiculous.

Rob, thanks for posting this. It looks like the gauges the two "officials" used disagreed by .3 to .4 psi. That means that one of the gauges was wrong. Forgive me for sounding stupid, but doesn't that raise the possibility that both gauges were wrong?

No it just shows that the balls lose some PSI when the needle is used to measure the psi the ref that measured the ball first gets a slightly higher reading.

Note how the higher readings were reversed when the Colts balls were measured. IO w one ref measured the Pats balls first, the other ref measured the Colts balls first.

Note also that the Colts balls were measured AFTER the Pats balls, they had more time to warm up, ie increase their PSI.

Guess not if the league botches the drug test.

Referring to Sherman, presumably? I take it you don't know that it was Brandon Browner's admittedly dirty urine that caused the false positive with Sherman, right? You know, the corner you guys signed to get the Super Bowl win with?

Might want to read the actual investigation's final findings, where they find that the tester lied, and handed Sherman Browner's USED sample cup (they were being tested in the same room at the same time): http://content.clearchannel.com/cc-common/mlib/645/12/645_1356645989.PDF

I mean, I could apologize for putting up the facts of the case if it'll make you feel better.

Now, see, Ray, you're now looking at the evidence, and coming up with a counter theory. That's not the same thing as the evidence not being evidence, but at least you're getting closer to grasping the obvious.

I posted a nice, easy to understand, definition of "Evidence" just a few minutes back. Go check it out.

Football's are supposed to be inflated between 12.5 and an upper number. No evidence of anything being deflated below that, not even as a joke.

If there is, simply copy and paste that text.

So what I don't undertand and as a life long Pats fan, why does everyone think Brady is telling the truth? it is certainly possible and likely probable that he lied all along to us and Kraft. Why do folks assume Brady did not have a hand in this. Sorry but when the baby is ugly maybe you should call it ugly.

I'm having a hard time with this to be honest because I have defended them since spygate and now I feel like I have been betrayed. Probable, most likely etc. etc. but let's face the music, it doesn't look good.

Guilty of what? Wanting the balls at the lower level of the rules limit? 12.5psi . He may just be

Lets look at it this way. he rips an equipment guy because the balls at 16 PSI in the Jets game. That is the texts. The science shows that if (big question given the reffs are up to .45PSI off on measuring the same balls at the same time) the balls start at 12.5 at 72 degrees as the NFL states, they will be down to 11.27 at 48 degrees which is what the NFL states. 8 of 11 balls were over 11.27, 1 at 11.20, 1 at 11 and 1 at 10.9 and that is you trust the NFL measurement which based on the wild variations between the measures from the 2 NFL guys, why would you.

There is literally nothing here other than some texts about 16 PSI balls from some guys who don't like Brady.
Well Brady won't do a second interview, won't hand over his phone, won't cooperate...doesn't that at least bother you a little bit. If this was a criminal case I bet it would. I don't care about the science because human nature typically tells all, the things Brady didn't do are clear indicators.

I'm not disagreeing with your points only that those specific items don't address Brady's behavior specifically.

Will two in three years suffice if the league doesn't dock us draft picks for cheating? Just curious.

What are you still doing here? The Steelers have accomplished more than you in this century. You haven't done s___.

The NFL publicly said they would eject Marshawn Lynch from the NFC Championship Game if he wore gold cleats. A one-game suspension for gold-freaking-cleats. Link: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...hawn-lynch-pete-carroll-russell-wilson-011815

I'm just a visiting Seahawks fan, but after reading a lot of this report and all the text messages in it, Brady deserves to be suspended for a good number of games. Sorry, most of you won't like it, but too bad. Compare what the league was threatening to do to Lynch in a critical playoff game FOR THE COLOR OF HIS CLEATS to what everyone now FACTUALLY knows about Brady from this report and there is literally no defense in favor of not suspending Brady.

Fact, not opinion.

Are you saying his cleats weren't that color?

You can't possibly be reading this thread and still saying this, so.....

Read the thread.

Possible? Sure.
Likely probable? Huh?

And when the evidence is weak, the evidence is weak. And, in this case, as Wells makes clear he knows through the words he chooses, the evidence is weak.

You haven't been betrayed. You weren't even thought about.
Yeh bud me and you just are not going to agree that's all. Do you know tom personally that you know what type of person he is. anyway we won't agree. It's ok.

What you cited to does not say what you claim.

Again, troll better.

After this report can you blame him? Look who they hired for the science? This was very biased. Lets say he has photos of his wife and kids or financial info on his phone. Why would he give it to the NFL who were leaking everything left and right.

So we're using facts now? So you would know deflategate is completely bogus then?

5) The league deciding not to take any disciplinary action immediately following the release of the report is curious. Perhaps Roger Goodell and company are simply trying to gauge public reaction first. The NFL has made some calamitous missteps over the last year-plus when it comes to public perception in other disciplinary cases, and this might simply be a case of the league trying to figure out which way the wind blows before deciding to hand down a penalty.
This.

Yeh bud me and you just are not going to agree that's all. Do you know tom personally that you know what type of person he is. anyway we won't agree. It's ok.

Hey, the reality is what the reality is. This thread has plenty of people who said Brady lied, so you were wrong with that.

"Possible' was not argued against, but "Likely probable" is nonsensical.

Wells acknowledges issues with his evidence, so I'm not wrong there, either.

In short, you're arguing against facts, not opinions, so leave the snide crap out of it.

This entire thing reeks of corruption, ineptitude, and treating what is gamesmanship into some outrageous scandal for the professionally perpetually offended to get their hackles up over. I don't watch Disney Sports but I assume they're going full Nancy Grace over this. People want the hyper violent barbarism of a padded collision based sport but don't want to stomach the reality of head trauma. People want psychotic preparation, strategy, rule bending, and the over analysis of every single tiny variable behind each game but they don't want teams to try to circumvent the rules. People want players to come back faster from injury but think hgh turns people into dr manhattan. They want a brutish, violent, hyper-masculine game played by super heroes with the t-count of a mating rhinoceros but expect them to behave with the sterility of an offensively unfunny CBS sitcom. F*ck these people. F*ck them all. This is America. We liberated the moon and these goddamn crybabies are crying cheating over 1psi of goddamn ball pressure. Absolute losers. They shame the greatest generation. Life is about gaming the system. Win or GTFO. Rings.

That last part should be read to the national anthem :)

If this was a criminal case, it would be laughed out of court in five minutes. He'd need to prove a case with convincing evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. Things like a motive and even proving a crime was committed would come into play. [the two games against the colts they ran over them like schoolgirls and didn't need to pass. where did the quarterbacks grip on the ball come into play there]?

The only place somrthing like this would seem legal is the ols soviet Union or similar disctatorships, where people are committed of thought crimes, proof of which that they didn't spend enough effort to disprove the charges, if indeed they knew what they were.

Sad day in the United States of America

You continue to be willfully ignorant. Go bother someone else with that stupidity.
