I didn't read the entire report, but did they ever say which ball was the intercepted ball by Jackson? If it was ball 10 on this list, why was this not called into question since it was the only one 2 PSI below the 12.5 PSI?

Apparently they never measured the intercepted ball. But I don't buy that for a second. I believe #10 is the intercepted ball and another ball was switched out for it.

Kensil's finger prints are all over this.

Except for ESPN's breathless reporting that someone (McNally?) tried to introduce a K ball into the game. . . .

I think the kicking balls had to do with that business with the league employee stealing game balls for resale. They called for a ball which he had hidden away and put in a non-approved kicking ball. I think the report skips right over all that by saying no problem with the K balls.

Without regard to this posters opinion: Didn't the NFLPA tell Brady and other players to not cooperate ..... or something to that affect?

Brady had the right to not hand over his cell phone.

The NFL also has the right to suspend him for even appearing to tarnish the shield. This isn't a capital murder case, Goodell doesn't need a 12-member jury of Brady's peers to convict. Look at how Roethlisberger got suspended for his second alleged incident with a female where nothing was even proven.

The NFL publicly said they would eject Marshawn Lynch from the NFC Championship Game if he wore gold cleats. A one-game suspension for gold-freaking-cleats. Link: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...hawn-lynch-pete-carroll-russell-wilson-011815

I'm just a visiting Seahawks fan, but after reading a lot of this report and all the text messages in it, Brady deserves to be suspended for a good number of games. Sorry, most of you won't like it, but too bad. Compare what the league was threatening to do to Lynch in a critical playoff game FOR THE COLOR OF HIS CLEATS to what everyone now FACTUALLY knows about Brady from this report and there is literally no defense in favor of not suspending Brady.

Fact, not opinion.

Dumbest thing I've read thus far. You should have just come out and said you were ignorant and biased.

Rape is far less serious than ball psi. #Fact #RolandDeschainlogic

I appreciate your insight into this, but quick question, did you read the report ? I didn't think so. It's chock full of circumstantial comments and a lot of "probably" and other vague terms. The Wells Report does not offer any PROOF that Brady cheated, nor did it provide any EVIDENCE Brady was involved in any wrongdoing. Read the report, and then you are a worthy contributor to this thread. But you just seem like EVERY other person who hates the Pats that just jumped to conclusions.

The stuffs my wife sent to my phone... I wouldn't want anyone to see either.
Exactly, and this guy printed texts to Mcnally's mom that were unrelated to smear him. Why was he looking at texts to his mom? Wells was rifling through his phone. I'm sure Brady has some nice pics of Giselle, and I wouldn't give my phone to that sleazeball.

You aren't the dumbest, most illogical poster I've ever read on this board. But, son, you're in the top 5 and that covers some f###### territory...

So the Colts bring the ball to the league because they think it is underinflated and they measure every other ball rather than the ball in question? And no one is questioning this? The League knew that the Colts were complaining about the Pats before they got evidence and they didn't even want to test the ball they claimed was under-inflated before launching into a full fledged investigation?

And Wells is saying Brady isn't credible and he talks about how credible the league was during this whole thing?

This doesn't pass the smell test.

There are so many open questions that are unanswered about the league and Colts, but no one seems to care that Wells brushed over these issues with broad strokes avoiding to address any of them.

How does a refusal to give up personal property equate to tarnishing the "shield"?

There is a key difference here though. The NFLPA wasn't going to get behind Rapelisberger with his past. Brady, on the other hand, is as clean as they get. You're crazy if you don't think the players association will rip the Well's report to shreds. No matter what Goodell dishes out, Brady won't miss a game due to suspension. It's just not going to happen.

To be fair, his posts have done just that. They've just used different words to tell us the same thing.

The problem with that argument is that you are taking one wrong (Lynch being threatened with a suspension) and extrapolating that into another situation.

There's nothing in the report that I read that conclusively indicates that Brady told anyone to bring the psi below 12.5. Ignore the introduction and read the appendix. It's eye-opening. The report is a hatchet job that started with a conclusion, striving to find something - anything - to support that viewpoint.

Again, what virtually all Patriots fans in this thread seem to be ignoring is the fact that PROOF is not needed. This isn't a court of law. ANYTHING a player does that is deemed to harm the image of the NFL can result in all kinds of penalties and repercussions. Goodell and the NFL don't NEED absolute proof. Even a whiff is enough if they want to make an example of someone.

It's just like how universities include what's commonly referred to as a "moral turpitude" clause in professor contracts, so they can get rid of tenured professors that get embroiled in scandals regardless of whatever gets proven, if anything.

Everyone here needs to stop with the "there's no cold, hard, proof!!" angle because it doesn't matter. Brady was OBVIOUSLY a part of this to at least some degree as far as knowing what was going on, and that's enough by NFL rules.

Rob, thanks for posting this. It looks like the gauges the two "officials" used disagreed by .3 to .4 psi. That means that one of the gauges was wrong. Forgive me for sounding stupid, but doesn't that raise the possibility that both gauges were wrong?

Brady would have been crazy to give his cell, I imagine he has personal stuff on it. And the way the nfl leaks like a sieve.....

Ps anyone who has read the whole report...any mention of the "leaks" ???

Actually, proof is needed. Feel free to look to the Saints case for proof that I'm correct.

The issue here is likely to be about which standard of proof is deemed to apply.

But keep on digging.

When you measure the psi on a ball, doesn't it let a little air out? Possible that measuring the balls the first time let out .3 to .4 psi???

The report says that Brady asked the refs to inflate the balls to the low end of the acceptable range. If Brady intended to simply deflate the balls later, why would he bother to do this?
