Tom Brady Sr. angrily fires back at critics of his son: "It’s disgusting"

Why should anyone "trust" you any more than any other poster. His argument is a lot more sound about the NFLPA defending Brady based on questionable evidence. They defended Ray Rice, so they too will stand up for Brady. Anything that attempts to weaken the union's power will be addressed. I expect a fine.

Yes his argument is sound, but the Patriots are treated differently. Look at some stuff coming out of current/ex players. If 90 percent of the NFLPA members (players) say suspend him for the year they will. There is more at work, I suspect, than we are privy to. There are plenty of players that believe that removing Brady will help them win. Of that, without concrete evidence, I am sure.

Remember, Payton got suspended for Bountygate on the principle of he should have been aware. Hence I firmly that will be the case here. I want to express its now what I think should happen. More of what I fear will. And the NFLPA will be powerless.

Sean Payton...is not, was not and never will be a member of the NFLPA.

So clueless. The NFLPA serves all of it's members. Good and bad. Old and young. Innocent and Guilty. The NFLPA is the group who filed a greivence for Aaron Hernandez after he was arrested for murder.

Defending Tom Brady isn't "bad for the NFLPA" it is good for the NFLPA. The NFLPA will defend all of it's players and their rights regardless of the situation.

Not to mention, getting one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game off of a suspension is nothing but a good thing for the NFLPA. They will use it as ammo in the next CBA negotiations. They will use it as marketing fodder for their newest constituents.

And make no mistake, if Brady is suspended the NFLPA and their lawyers are going to laugh at the NFL and their flimsy case. There is zero chance he serves anything more than a measly fine.

I wish. You think Miller would have had his suspension for conspiracy cut down if he was a Patriot? Hell no. As people have said, this is looked upon as a worse transgression than any you listed. Wrong as that may be, it is. So if I'm clueless that's fine.

This isn't cluleless. If Brady lied to BB, IF he did, he's done. That's between those two though.

NFLN is talking a multi-game suspension as possible punishment. If you're buddies with Goodell you get your guy only two games for knocking out his fiancee in an elevator. Total joke.

True. All I remember is they were pissed that he got his year. The NFL has in their minds the man who ruined Mannings legacy, on the ropes. <---- probably not true but it sounds good. However the fact they have pinned it on him I think bodes badly.

Perception is reality and this report makes that clear.

That would be the sad part. Domestic-2 games. PSI-multi game. Wonderful.

This is what happens when an incompetent commissioner doles out "justice" based on cronyism (Ray Rice) and/or public opinion (anti-Patriot stance of majority of populace).

Once again, the NFL and perceive TB12 however they want. But a suspension will NEVER hold up unless they have something a lot more than "more probable than not" up their sleeves.

Furthermore, here are some of the punishments levied against teams in the last calendar year post-Ray Rice:

- mid round picks for blatant cheating taken from Falcons and Browns.
- slap on the wrist for tampering (incompatible to previous cases e.g. Lance Briggs) doled out to the Jets.
- last but not least, a warning to the Vikings/Panthers for blatantly (on camera) tampering with psi of
football(s) during a game in 2014.

Conclusion: Punishment for rule-breaking will be based on how successful (or not) an NFL franchise is.
Thus, is the unspoken rule in Goodell's NFL.

Today's Wells "report" could not make it any clearer that the NFL is going to continue to try to bring the Patriots down to the rest of the pack by any means necessary.

Because Kraft will let them.
Given Kraft's statement regarding accepting punishment, he likely already knows the penalty IMO. You don't defer before judgement day....but he did. Hmmmmmm

The general public wants it. Everyone wants a suspension. Some longer than others. The court of public opinion has spoken. Trust me, it is NOT what I want, nor think should happen. It is what I feel is the inevitable.

America wants nothing more to see Brady on some kind of platform so they can observe his soul being disemboweled bit by bit.

The NFLPA will most certainly take up Brady's case and they will win easily. Bob Kraft can say the team will accept sanctions but Brady has every right to ask the union to take up his case and considering what happened in bounty gate it is pretty much a sure thing Brady will have any suspension thrown out. Teams may have to abide by Goodells rulings but the bar is much higher for players. And "we think he may have done something" won't fly especially for a 14 year vet with a spotless record.

I'm not sure why you don't get it.

The NFL can do whatever it wants (it's done so in the past) but it really doesn't matter because the NFLPA will appeal and in this case it is a slam dunk to win the appeal regardless because the case is so ridiculously flimsy.

The NFLPA really doesn't care what the general public wants. Afterall, if it did it would have let Ray Rice rot away in an indefinite suspension.

Wishing Brady BB and Kraft collectively called out Goodell on his BS and then in the same breathe made overtures to Revis while Making it rain and asking for La'ell Collins to give them a call and then give the finger with every Superbowl ring on one finger.

Tom Sr. apparently has one of these...

I am convinced that this will backfire on the league. Somehow, someway... ;)

Its a possibility.

The problem is that the Pats and Brady live in decadence. America despises decadence.

What you are missing is that this will be put forth as an integrity of the game. Rice was personal. This is about "integrity". That's the catchall. How can the NFLPA defend that? So they are supporting cheating? See where I'm going with this?
