But Brady can't appeal until if/when he's suspended.

So I should be rooting for Tom Brady to get suspended.

Oh it's a weird day indeed.

He can appeal a fine or suspension. He can't appeal a report.

Basically, the report exonerates all but 3 people. The only possible ways for those 3 people to get their reputations back would be via lie detector tests or court.

Just read Krafts statement. Sounds pissed. The he capitulates. Screw him. If Brady is suspended only for a pre season game he should go to Bill and say do it. By that I mean release all of the stuff he knows other teams are doing or have done.

He won't of course. And that's the sad part. He is leaving it up to us fans to swing in the wind. All I can hope is the scientific community lets out a collective Buuuuuuuuullllls**t.

I feel this way. Why should I waste my breath if Kraft is going to leaves us out to dry?

Kraft is spitting in the face of his customers.

Blakeman & Prioleau re-measure balls @ 1/2. Both get v-diff readings. 3 IND balls under as well(Prioleau). Reliable?

He can appeal a fine or suspension. He can't appeal a report.

Is the appeal process the same for the both?

I want this thing in front of a third party arbiter that isn't paid for by the Commish.

Lets get real here. Neither the NFL, or Goodell, have a vested interest in damning the Patriots. In fact it's quite the opposite. So I don't believe for a second that the inquiry was designed to be biased against the Patriots. Did they come to the right conclusions, I don't know, but was it a corrupted investigation, I highly doubt it.
Disagree. "damning" the Patriots appeals to the jealous resentment of rival fans, generates "buzz" for the league in the offseason, and appeals to the lowest common denominator. If you think these guys are above prostituting this sport like a $10 hooker in Tijuana, YOU need to get real.

I really hope that the Patriots hire lawyers to make Wells and goodell look like idiots. As well Brady should file a defamation suit against the NFL.

Definitely not out of the question. Brady is not hurting for $$$ and is a prideful person.

Intentionally deflated or not, didn't matter in the SB win.

72degrees = 295.372K and 48 degrees = 282.039K. This is a 4.514% drop. 12.5PSI +14.7 for the atmosphere =27.2 27.2 less 4.514% = 25.9277 or 11.27PSI. Per Prioleau's measurements, 8 of the 11 Patriots balls were above this with 3 being slightly under. It is insane that the Patriots would slightly deflate 3 balls and poor measurement is more likely. Look at the up to .45 PSI variations in the NFL officials halftime measurements.

Nonsense. You sound like a Steeler fan only with the shoe on the other foot.

This whole thing is stupid.

1st of I believe Brady when he says he didn't know McNally or his name. Brady comes off as snobbish, to believe that he spends time, let alone even acknowledge or speak to McNally would be shocking for me. I'm sure Brady knows him as "that guy over there," "that man," "the ball guy," or (insert the name) anything but McNally. Brady was clearly expressing frustration on the sidelines at how bad the balls sucked. He called up Jastramestri (however its spelled) to excuse his actions and frustrations, saying the man probably is stressed out or something. Even if Brady talked to McNally about his preference, it still doesn't mean he knew his name or knew him from any other ball attendant.

This is being blown waaaay out of proportion.

It sounds like Brady complained about balls. Jastramestri and McNally discussed it and found ways to keep their star satisfied with his balls. The balls were at 16, Brady prefers them lower than that.

There is no proof Brady knew anything or that the balls were intentionally deflated. The only thing one can do is assume and because Ted Wells assumes they cheated, I guess it means they cheated. If Brady gets suspended for this crap, I will officially be done with the NFL, if he retires in light of this BS, I will be officially done with the NFL. Kraft is a push-over and a punk. Now I have to deal with more cheating crap from jealous hasbeens over on ESPN, FOX and NBC. Then try to defend the Patriots and correct some dumb jealous and sheepish fans who have no clue to what they are talking about when they call the Patriots cheaters.

If I am McNally and the other guy, I would be afraid to walk out of my home!

I wish Tom would come out as angry as his father is!

I agree with you. And I find it amazing that they found scientists who were willing to come to a different conclusion so definitively. People might not understand how scientists work, but even the heavily caveated conclusions from the Appendix are laying themselves out there in terms of science, which demands erring on the side of caution when it comes to such uncertain data.

For those slamming Kraft, his "capitulation" is thus... "While I respect the independent process of the investigation, the time, effort and resources expended to reach this conclusion are incomprehensible to me. Knowing that there is no real recourse available, fighting the league and extending this debate would prove to be futile."

He outright stated in multiple ways that the report is BS, but he is right in saying there's really nothing he can do about it. What do you want him to do? All he can really do is stick up for his guys publicly, which is what he's doing.

Eviscerate the report in detail.

Here's a start for a 30 second press conference:

"Ted Wells's conclusions are so ludicrous that I wouldn't feel comfortable if he represented me over a parking ticket."

Rodgers prefers PSI on the upper end, Brady prefers PSI on the lower end, and they both excel with their preferences. Furthermore pressure is highly sensitive to the environment which is highly variable and not controlled. So why on earth are there even regulations on the PSI in the first place? There are advantages and disadvantages on both ends, let the QBs have their preference...

The man who said Manning was better than Brady after Brady won his fourth:

@tthasselbeck: TB's dad's defense has now insured that TB won't admit that he lied.

Why can't the season start tomorrow?

The Missouri ruling, and the beating Goodell's taken in recent cases, make it likely that this will either end up with an 'impartial' arbiter or in court (or, quite possibly, both).
