Let me tell you about Shaq Mason...

And I'll share this with you guys -- this Youtube video fired us GT fans up this season. It's not particularly about Shaq Mason, but it gives you some idea of the culture he comes out of, the prevailing attitude he was part of. I think BB saw it, sees something in the GT program that catches his eye in terms of character and play execution.

Parts of this video still give me goose bumps when the guys are blocking for each other.

We went out and got a key win against Miami after this rousing pregame speech.

Holy balls. I think that the defenses were trying to stack about 11 in the box, 12 if they could have gotten away with it on some of those plays and he still blew up the middle of the defensive line.

Mason's run blocking should mean a couple more goal line and short yardage plays added to the Pats playbook.

Wasn't meant to offend you, just an observation. Watch ESPN or the NFL network and they seem to call everyone "a beast"....fuggit...I'm a beast too! ;)

Sure, but ...Mason actually is a beast at what he's being labeled a beast at doing.

Mason might open a hole so big during a Brady sneak that Brady could go for 5-10 yards

Belichick said that he made daily improvement in his pro-style pass blocking technique in the five days of practice at the Senior Bowl. That week is probably more important than the combine for a lot of prospects.

That video made me laugh. Nothing quite like watching a monster offensive lineman dominating opponents video-game-style, 2, sometimes 3 levels deep! He reminded me of this guy...

Whatever adjective was used before people started saying beast...I'd like to go back to it.

"Road grader"? I think I'll take "beast".

(The thing that I'd like to stop is all draft commentators referring to all prospects as "kids". I mean, how is a 300 lb lineman with biceps the size of trees and a huge beard a kid?)

The Unstoppable force. And the comment about calling them kids made me chuckle. While I fold onsies

I love the one play where he completely just buries a DB. If this kid learns to pass block can you say ALL PRO

Draft day impressions are usually groaners on some picks until fans get into the meat of what BB/Scar/coaches and college fans saw in a player. Let's hope the OL is stronger and our defensive pass rush/run stopping gets better when the dust clears.

In BB We Trust
