If Collins could have quickly and easily proven his innocence, for example with an iron-clad alibi, I'm sure he would have done so quickly and before the NFL draft.

It doesn't work like that.

Unless there is an arrest in this case, there is no way the Pats would ever consider getting involved with another murder suspect.
Now Dallas on the other hand could care less!

What's his obsession with long snappers? He just cuts them anyway.

So we made 8 picks on day 3 and exactly NONE of them were WR's. I'm shocked.

Apparently, the rumor is that they are bringing in UDFA former Michigan QB Davin Gardner, and attempting to transform into a WR.

Hey, it can't really be any worse than any of the WR picks they'd have considered taking, right? We did alright with the last QB to WR player.

What you read yesterday or the day before was what he had hoped to do, but it's against NFL rules, and they pointed that out relatively soon (within 24 hrs) after he made his intentions known.

Oh, well I was just going with multiple posts here. I'm basically sick of ax murderers or bystanders and I think we have a pretty upright group here, though I have my suspicions about that crazy cornerback lol. Sure looks like he can ball, though.

To all the "we need a tall WR" in FA and the draft posters, I'm laughing at you.

Belichicks "referendum" on getting a big WR because he brought some in for a workout has been debunked.

Period.

Devin Gardner is 6'4"... :)

Never enough.

If you want a list of WR's that we might have drafted after the 4th round ended, there are several posters who can provide you with a list.

There were MANY, MANY, MANY better wide receivers that we could have considered taking in the last three rounds. There were even some available when we picked in the 7th.

The team was low on guys who are legally blind in one eye, and guys with military commitments. You need depth at positions like that.

They have two 6'6" tight ends. I don't think they have to have a tall wide receiver just because the neighbors have one.

Apparently, Belichick felt that it wasn't a priority and that some competition could be brought in during the UDFA process. I'd have been fine with a WR in the top 3-4 rounds, so you're preaching to the choir.

My main point was that we're attempting to convert another QB to WR player, and that the last one (Edelman) didn't work out too badly.

I feel like you can do this just about every year with the Patriots draft:

If you rearrange the Patriots' draft, it looks a lot more normal:

We also drafted a QB/LB/TE. I think he's looking to revolutionize the game and freak people the f*** out by Edelmanning from every position. I'm calling it the Aerial WildCat Wrinkle :)
