Collins would also likely be incredibly grateful for that action and play his ass off for that organization. I agree that somebody giving him a chance is absolutely the right thing to do.Simple statement of any GM who drafts the kid:
If he's innocent, he's welcome to sign with us. If he chooses to go back into the draft next year, we understand. If he's not cleared, we'll cut him loose. With the way the NFL rules are, we just felt it was only fair.
Anyone with a brain would understand that. Hell, Goodell might even get it.
