I think it's worth noting that since the team will probably only be looking for a couple of UDFA (fewer than normal), they should be able to offer rather large signing bonuses and potentially outbid other teams. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken on this.

Rams trade Zach Stacey to the Jets for a 7th round pick

The limit is about $25K per player and about $75K per team. [@Miguel might know the exact #s.]

I did a few google searches and couldn't find any pre-draft chatter suggesting that Tre McBride was a diva or had any character/personality concerns.

If there is something there, it's stayed purely within scouting circles...

With all the fans reading out picks for their teams, a funny thought popped into my head.

Imagine one of our awesome draft forum posters winning a lottery to draft for the Pats

Mayo/manx/wilfork75/midwest steps up to the podium, takes a look at the card with some crazy pick, and thinks 'f*** this'

"With the 247th pick in the 2015 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary"
Yeah, this is about the time I start thinking to myself "why, oh why, did I put all those hours in watching tape. It is fun, but it is a punch to the .....ego

I wouldn't have minded making that trade for the Pats

Why do we believe there will be fewer UFAs ? I think that if BB thinks a few of them are better than what he already has - he'll sign them and cut others players.

Perhaps he didn't make the best impression in pre-draft interviews.

Hm, I thought I had seen someone supply info earlier today from Twitter stating the Rams had given Ethan Westbrooks $50k.

Interesting the number of RBs the Jets have..
Chris Ivory
Steven Ridley
Bilal Powell

And now they add Zac Stacey.. Do they have an O-line to run behind?

Again, this would go against what had been reported.. It's possible. And usually comes out when a player screws up like that.. The fact that it hadn't until now is perplexing.

And Nunez-Roches gone too. I got my binky in Mason so I'm fine. Two would have been nice though.
When Mason was drafted, I said out loud that Manx will be really happy. My wife was walking by and gave me the strangest look.

Actually, the Rams guaranteed $50K of the salary of Westbrooks..

With their QB situation, they are going to be running the single wing.

Not only Zac Stacy is mediocre at best, he requested to be traded a minute after Rams selected Gurley. The guy is a quitter, doesn't want to share touches and was unwilling to win his spot.

He fits the Jets

Two years ago he ran for almost 1000 yards behind a horrible offensive line....for a 7th round draft pick, I'd do that trade every day. Don't know if he is a quitter, maybe he just wants the ball. With Gurley there now, he knows he has no chance.
