Lord I hate the Jets.

I hate when they feel hopeful or happy. Draft time is always filled with promise and they cheer up during it. Then reality crashes them back to earth during the season.

Report is that BB called GB and asked if they wanted the pick.

They may just be doing them a solid.
Or if they knew GB wanted Huntley, keeping him out of the conference...... or if BB intiiated the call, maybe he has a WTF pick planned in round 7....

Jarvis Harrison is your typical Jets pick. Talented kid with no work ethic

Yeah, sometimes doing a solid for someone else is also a good thing for you. This seems like a 2-fer, giving all the AFCE picks that were coming up.

Former Pats selection Corey Hilliard was signed by the Jets today.. He's quietly made a career for himself..

What in god's name is "a solid" Whatever it is I sure hope it makes the deal make a bit of sense.

I can't believe Bill cheated on Andy Reid with Ted Thompson...poor Andy :(

Not the strangest thing that has happened to the Pats in this Draft.

BB just love those seventh-zies picks, doesn't he?

I would not be surprised to see Connolly back for TC.. The Pats typically go in with 12-14 bodies vying for spots (9-10 on the roster) and 2 on the PS..

I'm not positive, but does Kline have PS eligibility left?
With the new practice squad rules, Kline is indeed eligible for the practice squad.

The new rules not only bumped the practice squad up from eight to ten players, but also loosened eligibility requirements. Two of those ten spots can now go to players that have no more than two accrued seasons.

An accrued season is considered to be one in which the player is active for at least six regular season games. Kline played in seven games in 2013, and was inactive for only four games last year. So yes, he could indeed be a candidate for the practice squad.

I wonder if Connolly would want to return to Foxboro. He might figure that if he's going to go through all that effort, then he would be better off signing with a team where he had a better chance of surviving cuts and making the club's week one roster.

Ouch.. Just read that Jarvis Harrison showed up late to his own Pro-Day.. If he was on the Pats board, he was gone after that..

A solid beats, unexpectedly, getting a liquid.

So what did we own GB a favor for? Or what favor are they going to do for us??

Keeping a good young QB out of the division makes sense to me and seems to be the only good reason behind the move. Also, maybe GB will return the favor someday.
