Isn't the 4th quarter where Avril left the game and Bennet, who was doing major damage inside with Avril playing DE, had to slide back outside, nullifying his effectiveness?

I'm not saying the OL sucked, but Brady and the WR's making moves did a whole lot more to score points than the OL did.
Lets be honest, the Pats passed the ball 51 times because their O line couldn't budge Seattle in the run game. NE proved balance can be over rated....but....better to be competent in both.......Road Grader on the way....Lets get two

Sure but just like you have no choice but to play who is on your schedule then same for who is on the field.
I think they did fine. Not like the rest of the Hawks D was exactly scrubs.

Hmmm could Seahawks take Greene?

I wouldn't mind Cameron Artis-Payne or Tre McBride with the next pick. I may even get an erection and blow a load all over my pants.

I like Ajayi if he is there at our next pick

I think this next pick is going to be traded. Just a hunch.

Only if they trade it into next year. Otherwise it will be a waste. They don't have enough spots for more picks this year.

Not clairvoyant. I just remember the pre-Brady pats. Even with Bledsoe the team didn't win the SB.

BB is the best coach the pats have ever had; I am just saying that the 4 titles are more a result of lucking into TB than BB coaching.

Feel free to disagree and I hope I am wrong and the pats continue to win.
Ehh, I'll be one to disagree.

First off I would say that the notion that the Patriots 'lucked into Brady' is one of those falsehoods that has been repeated so many times it is accepted as fact. The Pats did scout him, they did select him - they almost took him in the 5th round - and they saw enough from him in a limited time that they kept him on the roster as a fourth quarterback in his rookie season, rather than risk losing him with the idea of cutting him and re-signing him to the practice squad. It's not as if it was akin to a fantasy football draft, where in the next to last round one blindly picks an unknown name out of a draft magazine.

Belichick was very close to starting Brady at the beginning of the 2001 season, and he would have made the change early in that season even if Bledsoe was not injured. Don't forget that there was heavy pressure to return to Bledsoe once he was healthy, but Belichick stuck to his guns and kept Brady as his starter.

Secondly, the biggest reason the Patriots won those first three championships was their defense, not Brady. Obviously TB12 played a part in the team getting to and winning those super bowls, but that was not the only reason.

Third, in terms of Belichick's coaching - look no further than Super Bowl 36. The game plan was perfect, with BB completely out-coaching Mike Martz. Take the coaches out of the equation and simply compare talent on the two sides, and the Rams should have won by about 17-21 points.

Football is the ultimate team game. As good as Tom Brady has been in his career, there is so much more to winning than just having a good quarterback. It's not like basketball where one very good player is on the court, and there are only five players playing both offense and defense.

The four titles are primarily a result of preparation, skill and execution. With all due respect, I'll disagree with the premise that they are a result of blind luck.

Tre McBride would be an absolute steal in my opinion.

McBride for this year, get Smelter later on and stash him for next year and WR is well stacked.

I believe Trey Wingo is also still available.

The Patriots drafted the 2 highest graded players in this round. Sometimes I wonder if Belichick intentionally over drafts players in the second round to throw off other teams boards letting better players slip to him.

So much for La'el Collins going early. Josh Robinson and Artis-Payne, as Kontra mentions, are possibilities, as is David Cobb of Minny. Still want one of the DTs or one of my WR binkies though.

That's what I meant. Maybe for a couple more late rounders (5th and a 7th maybe)
Or take a 4th and a 6th and move into the 3rd and a 7th as compensation perhaps.

It would be awesome getting a WR of his potential.
Not sure if the homosexuals in San Francisco would like that one. Are you mad though? Dislike button is down here. ----V
