Belichick isn't going to draft a guard in the third round. Either he is going to get a potentially elite guy like like Mankins or he will used a late round draft pick. Mankins is the only interior lineman Belichick has ever drafted before the fourth round.

It appears Scar was not amused.

@MikeReiss: Theme from NE third-round pick Geneo Grissom is that he hasn't had a defined position. Oklahoma played him at various spots, including TE.

Boom or bust pick. Reminds of the Bequette and Crable picks. Hopefully this will turn out with different results. Another we won't know right away pick.

Looks like the Patriots got a pretty solid pass rusher in Geneo Grissom.

We better sack the **** out of our opponents QBs, because our secondary will get killed every game if we don't.

I don't know where you're getting this but the military recognizes 5 distinct branches. It is not "tradition" it is mandated by the Department of Defense. There is no overlap between the Navy and Marines and tradition has nothing to do with it... again, wrong thread but you can google it... yes, I'm a vet. The "Marines are part of the Navy" is a falsehood that is enforced because people think the "Department of the Navy" is the Navy...again, they are not. The "Department of the Navy" is a multi-branch organization. It is not "Tradition". The Marines are organizationally separate from the Navy..this is a fact. Look it up... not going to argue it but a simple lookup will show you this. The Maines are separate from the Navy. Again, do not confuse "Department of the Navy" with the "Navy".

But again finding value in a 5th rounder in the 3rd..............

I have no idea what BB is doing. Passing on upgrading the OLine seems to be a curious decision. Drafting awful secondary players (not counting DMac) is BB's wheel house which is odd because he used to be a secondary coach.

No Shane replacement yet.

Oh well, the Pats being defending super bowl champs makes this draft so much easier to handle.

Put me in the camp that Brady covers up a ton of BB draft mistakes.

Well at this point Clemming & Collins and a few others have been passed on 99 times. Maybe those teams saw things we did not.
