I wonder if we'll take La'el Collins at 96 or 97.

As for Richards, that has to mean cover or a form of Tampa-2. It's a good way to compensate for the CB weaknesses.

I agree on Collins.

Make it happen BB.

Intern: Uh, Coach, we're on coming up here in the second.
Coach: Hm...any super athletic receivers of questionable intellectual makeup?
Intern: No, sir, I'm afraid Tennessee took him earlier.
Coach: Hmm...any corners with really good measurables but height/durability concerns?
Intern: They're gone as well sir.
Coach: Ok...how about a safety that's built like a corner, runs like a guard, but has a good 3-cone and likes books?
Intern: We've got one sir.
Coach: Perfect. We'll take him. (Looks at Patricia) Ha! F*ck you Matt! That's three years in a row now I've got your ass with that one.

.Belichick does not trust his scouts to tell him in what round a player should be drafted. Only if they
can make the team or not. This is why 6th round draft picks are picked in the 2nd round.

Unless y'know...the Patriots scouting staff did have a 2nd round grade on him?

Hot damn, Amari Cooper and Clive Walford? Watch out for Oakland (maybe)...

How many safties can we keep? Either Ebner, Wilson or Harmon could be potential cuts

Wow, look at all the arm chair GM's basically calling a HOF GM/Coach a moron and they sitting in their basements reading draft books know more than the HOF GM/Coach who literally has a team of scouts at his disposal and spends millions of dollars a year evaluating talent and even personally evaluates some of that talent.

I get that you may have wanted a different player, that is fine you are entitled to your opinion. But to suggest that the player you wanted better fits the Patriots system than the one they selected and would have been a better pick........talk about egos being stroked........give it a rest you aren't GM's of football teams for a reason.

So after last night, I was comfortable that the mysterious picks that have enraged me in Lethe past were gone, me and mrs FTW hit the oval watering hole for our Friday night out....ll.l..

Then I'm at the bar and see the pats wasted yet another second round pick on somebody that they could have gotten in the fifth round!!!!!!

I had to leave

I remember getting laughed out of the draft forum when I said we would take an LB or Safety with one of our top two picks.

That's physically impossible. Laughter can not move human bodies. So I call BS on that claim!

His ego is not so huge that he will intentionally sabotage his team to massage it.

That is not what I am saying per say. It is more like he disregards everyone's opinion to a fault.

How many Locketts does seattle need?

He was rated the #176 prospect by CBS

Based on the response on this board, can the Pats cut Richards tomorrow? Why wait and force the guy to come to Foxboro and do all the media stuff.

People already have this guy being a bust and washout. Yes, it was a reach, but many of Belichick's reaches have turned into good to great players. Some prove to be bad picks too, but we are surprised a lot of the time with these reaches.

Ironiczlly, it is a lot of the picks we all think are steals that turn into the busts - See Jake Bequette for example.

Doubt it's Harmon. I actually wouldnt mind to see a lot of Dmac and Harmon together.

Ebner.

Harmon is a good backup FS, Wilson is good on STs and put up some damn good coverage stats last year (something silly like 3 catches on 100 passing downs played)

Are the Patriots playing cover-2 and switching McCourty to CB?

I've been thinking about this possibility. Maybe with his new contract, he figures he should earn it as a corner. I wonder if a system change might be good for Ryan too. We don't have dominant man corners and there weren't a lot in the draft so maybe the system change makes sense.

I wanted PJ Williams, Tevin Coleman or Jaelen Strong.
Wow, please don't tell me we could have had any of those 3 and we picked this piece of **** instead. Blood pressure at an all time high if this is the case. Love BB the coach, BB the GM should be fired. Tavon Wilson all over again. BB has totally lost it when it comes to the 2nd round. HE'S HORRIBLE drafting DBs in the 2nd round, should someone else make the draft picks. Absolutely horrible if those 3 were on the board. HORRIBLE. No ****ing excuse.
